신청은 매월 1~15일 경기민원24를 통해 온라인으로 가능하다. 돌봄활동 후 그다음 달에 수당이 지급된다. 시군별 운영 준비 상황에 따라 신청·활동 시작 시점이 다르다. 성남시 등 일부 시군은 이달부터 사업을 시작한다. 용인시 등 나머지 시군은 다음 달부터 신청을 받을 예정이다.
◆ 돌봄 공동체 활성화 기대
권문주 경기도 아동돌봄과장은 "가족돌봄수당은 부모의 양육 부담을 줄이고 지역 내 돌봄 공동체를 활성화하는 중요한 정책"이라고 말했다. 권 과장은 "더 많은 도민이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 사업 운영과 관리에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
