◆ 60대 남성 길가에서 쓰러진 채 발견

인천 강화도 길가에 쓰러져 있던 60대 남성이 저체온증으로 사망했다. 인천시와 인천소방본부는 6일 이 사실을 밝혔다. 지난 2일 오전 5시 53분께 강화군 강화읍 한 목욕탕 인근 길가에서 60대 남성 A씨가 쓰러져 있다는 신고가 119에 접수됐다. A씨는 머리에 부상을 입은 상태였고 의식이 없었다.

◆ 심폐소생술 받았으나 사망

119구급대는 A씨에게 심폐소생술(CPR)을 실시하며 병원으로 이송했다. A씨는 당일 오전 7시 17분께 숨졌다. 병원 측은 A씨가 저체온증에 의한 다발성 장기 기능 장애로 숨졌다는 소견을 밝혔다. 자영업자인 A씨는 구조 당시 술 냄새가 났던 것으로 전해졌다.

◆ 당시 강화도 영하 12도 한파

신고가 접수된 지난 2일 강화도에는 한파주의보가 내려진 상태였다. 당일 아침 최저기온은 영하 12도였다. 인천시 관계자는 "병원 측 진단에 따라 A씨가 한랭질환으로 사망한 것으로 보고 있다"고 말했다.
