◆ 경기도의회 시상식서 우수의정대상 수상
허원 경기도의회 건설교통위원회 위원장(국민의힘, 이천2)이 지난 26일 제17회 우수의정대상을 수상했다. 시상식은 경기도의회 대회의실에서 열린 '2025년 경기도의회 시상식'에서 진행됐다. 대한민국시도의회의장협의회가 상을 수여했다. 허원 위원장은 상임위원장으로서 도민 안전과 이동권을 핵심 가치로 삼았다. 건설·교통 분야 주요 현안을 종합적으로 점검해왔다.
◆ 현장–제도–예산 연결하는 구조적 접근 지속
허원 위원장은 정책 실효성과 예산 집행 책임성 강화에 중점을 두고 위원회를 운영했다. 위원회 심사 과정에서 단순 지적에 그치지 않았다. 관계기관과 협의를 통해 대안을 제시하고 실행을 점검했다. 사고 예방을 위한 시설 안전관리와 현장 점검을 실시했다. 행정사무감사를 통해 문제를 진단하고 후속 개선을 요구했다. 예산안·결산 심사를 통해 비효율적 지출을 정비하고 재정 우선순위를 재정립했다.
◆ "도민 체감하는 변화로 보답하겠다"
허원 위원장의 의정활동은 건설·교통 정책 실효성을 높였다는 평가를 받는다. 도민이 체감하는 안전과 이동 편의 개선으로 이어졌다. 허원 위원장은 수상 소감에서 "건설·교통 정책은 도민 일상과 생명·안전에 직결된다"고 말했다. "현장에서 답을 찾고 제도로 완성하는 의정활동이 중요하다"고 강조했다. "앞으로도 예산은 더 꼼꼼히, 정책은 더 치열하게 살펴 도민이 체감하는 변화로 보답하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Receives Outstanding Legislative Award at Provincial Council Ceremony
Heo Won, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council Construction and Transportation Committee (People Power Party, Icheon 2), received the 17th Outstanding Legislative Award on December 26. The ceremony took place at the main conference room of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council during the "2025 Gyeonggi Provincial Council Awards Ceremony." The National Association of Provincial Council Speakers presented the award. Chairman Heo Won placed resident safety and mobility rights as core values in his role as standing committee chairman. He comprehensively reviewed major issues in the construction and transportation sectors.
◆ Maintains Structural Approach Connecting Field–System–Budget
Chairman Heo Won operated the committee with focus on strengthening policy effectiveness and budget execution accountability. He went beyond simple criticism during committee reviews. He proposed alternatives and monitored implementation through consultations with relevant agencies. He conducted facility safety management and field inspections for accident prevention. He diagnosed problems through administrative audits and demanded follow-up improvements. He reorganized inefficient spending and re-established fiscal priorities through budget and settlement reviews.
◆ "Will Repay with Changes Residents Can Feel"
Chairman Heo Won's legislative activities received recognition for enhancing construction and transportation policy effectiveness. They led to safety and mobility improvements that residents can feel. Chairman Heo Won said in his acceptance speech, "Construction and transportation policies directly affect residents' daily lives and safety." He emphasized, "Legislative activities that find answers in the field and complete them through systems are important."
