◆ 경기지방고용노동청 초대 청장 취임

경기지방고용노동청은 13일 김도형(56) 초대 청장이 취임한다고 12일 밝혔다. 고용노동부 경기지청은 지난달 30일 경기지방고용노동청으로 승격됐다. 김 청장은 승격 후 첫 수장을 맡게 됐다.

◆ 행시 38회 출신 고용노동 분야 전문가

김 청장은 성균관대 행정학과를 졸업한 뒤 조지아주립대학원 성인교육학과에서 석사학위를 취득했다. 1995년 행정고시 38회로 공직에 입문했다. 지역산업수급정책과장, 노동시장정책과장, 근로감독기획과장, 충남지방노동위원회 위원장, 대전지방고용노동청장 등을 두루 역임하며 고용노동 분야에 정통한 것으로 평가받는다.

◆ "현장 중심 행정으로 안전한 일터 조성하겠다"

김 청장은 "경기도는 전국 최대 규모의 광역자치단체이자 우리나라 산업 및 고용규모가 가장 큰 핵심지역인만큼 막중한 책임감을 느낀다"고 밝혔다. 김 청장은 "경기도 등 유관기관과 협력해 현장 중심의 행정을 통해 일하는 사람이 안심하고 행복하게 일할 수 있는 일터를 조성하는데 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ First chief of newly elevated regional office

The Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office announced on January 12 that Kim Do-hyung (56) will be inaugurated as its first chief on January 13. The Ministry of Employment and Labor's Gyeonggi branch was elevated to the Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office on December 30 last year. Kim becomes the first head following the elevation.

◆ Labor administration expert from 38th civil service exam

Kim graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in public administration and earned a master's degree in adult education from Georgia State University. He entered public service in 1995 through the 38th Higher Civil Service Examination. He is recognized as an expert in employment and labor administration, having served as director of regional industry supply-demand policy, labor market policy, and labor inspection planning divisions, as well as chairman of the South Chungcheong Regional Labor Relations Commission and chief of the Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office.

◆ "Will create safe workplaces through field-centered administration"

Kim stated "I feel a heavy responsibility as Gyeonggi Province is the largest metropolitan government in the country and the core region with the largest industrial and employment scale in Korea." He added "I will do my best to create workplaces where workers can work safely and happily through field-centered administration in cooperation with related organizations including Gyeonggi Province."
