◆ 버스 노조 파업 돌입에 "막중한 책임 느낀다"

오세훈 서울시장이 13일 시내버스 노조 파업 개시에 우려를 표하면서도 끝까지 노사를 설득해 정상 운행을 독려하겠다고 밝혔다. 오 시장은 이날 오전 페이스북에서 "오늘 새벽까지 이어진 서울 시내버스 노사 간 협상이 최종 결렬돼 버스 노조가 파업에 돌입했다"고 말했다. 오 시장은 "당장 오늘 아침 출근길부터 시민 여러분께서 겪으실 불편과 혼란을 생각하면 시장으로서 막중한 책임을 느낀다"고 밝혔다.

◆ "대화의 끈 놓지 않고 최선 다하겠다"

오 시장은 "서울시는 노사 양측을 끝까지 설득하겠다"며 "시민의 발인 버스가 조속히 정상 운행될 수 있도록 대화의 끈을 놓지 않고 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다. 오 시장은 "시민 여러분의 안전과 이동 편의를 위해 서울시 공직자 모두가 비상한 각오로 현장을 지키겠다"고 덧붙였다.

◆ 지하철 172회 증편, 막차 새벽 2시로 연장

오 시장은 대응 방안도 소개했다. 지하철 출근 간격 운행은 오전 7시부터 10시까지, 퇴근 간격은 오후 6시부터 밤 9시까지로 늘린다. 막차 시간도 종착역 기준 기존 새벽 1시에서 2시로 늦춰서 운행을 하루 172회 증편한다. 서울 25개 자치구에선 지하철역까지 무료 셔틀버스도 운행한다.

◆ "Feel heavy responsibility" as bus union begins strike

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon expressed concern over the city bus union strike on January 13 while stating he would persuade both labor and management to encourage normal operations. Mayor Oh wrote on Facebook that morning "Negotiations between Seoul city bus labor and management that continued until early this morning finally broke down, and the bus union has begun its strike." He added "Thinking of the inconvenience and confusion citizens will experience starting with this morning's commute, I feel heavy responsibility as mayor."

◆ "Will do our best without letting go of dialogue"

Mayor Oh stated "Seoul City will persuade both labor and management to the end. We will do our best without letting go of dialogue so that buses, the feet of citizens, can resume normal operations as soon as possible." He added "All Seoul City public officials will guard the field with emergency resolve for citizens' safety and transportation convenience."

◆ 172 additional subway runs, last train extended to 2 a.m.

Mayor Oh also introduced response measures. Rush hour subway intervals will be extended from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for morning commutes and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for evening commutes. Last train times will be delayed from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. based on terminal stations, adding 172 daily runs. Free shuttle buses to subway stations will operate in all 25 Seoul districts.
