박종효 인천 남동구청장이 새해 첫 일정으로 재난 위험 시설물을 점검하고 주민 안전을 위한 각별한 관심을 당부했다.

남동구에 따르면 박종효 구청장은 지난 2일 구청 대강당에서 진행된 시무식을 마치고 간석3동 동신빌라와 구월3동 인광빌라 등을 찾았다.

◆ 동신빌라 후면 80m 전 구간 옹벽 공사 완료

동신빌라는 빌라 후면의 급경사로 인해 옹벽 공사에 대한 주민 요구가 끊이지 않던 곳이다. 남동구는 지난해 12월 옹벽 공사를 마쳤다. 공사는 동신빌라 후면 80m 전 구간에 대해 시행됐으며 당초 계획에 더해 추가 붕괴 위험 구간에 대한 공사까지 완료했다.

두 번째 방문 장소인 인광빌라는 인근 빌라와의 경계 담벼락이 상당 부분 기울어져 안전사고 발생 위험이 컸다. 남동구는 지난해 침수피해에 따른 지정후원금을 활용해 보수 공사를 마쳤다.

◆ 박종효 구청장 "주민 개개인 시설물 안전 주의 필요"

박종효 남동구청장은 "사유재산의 경우 관에서 지원해 주는 데에는 한계가 있어 주민 개개인이 주인의식을 갖고 시설물 안전에 더욱 주의를 기울일 필요가 있다"고 말했다. 박종효 구청장은 "올해도 구민 모두가 안전할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

남동구는 주민 안전을 위해 3월 해빙기 대비 급경사지 안전 점검, 4월 집중 안전 점검, 6월 우기 대비 급경사지 안전 점검, 명절 대비 다중이용시설 점검 등을 실시할 계획이다.

According to Namdong-gu, District Mayor Park visited Dongsin Villa in Ganseok 3-dong and Ingwang Villa in Guwol 3-dong on January 2 after the New Year ceremony held in the district office auditorium.

◆ Retaining Wall Construction Completed for Entire 80m Section Behind Dongsin Villa

Dongsin Villa was a location where resident demands for retaining wall construction continued due to the steep slope behind the villa. Namdong-gu completed the retaining wall construction in December last year. Construction was carried out for the entire 80m section behind Dongsin Villa, and work on additional collapse risk sections was also completed beyond the original plan.

Ingwang Villa, the second location visited, had a high risk of safety accidents as the boundary wall with neighboring villas was significantly tilted. Namdong-gu completed repair work using designated donations from last year's flood damage.

◆ District Mayor Park: "Individual Residents Need to Pay Attention to Facility Safety"

District Mayor Park Jong-hyo said, "There are limits to government support for private property, so individual residents need to take ownership and pay more attention to facility safety." District Mayor Park stated, "We will do our best to ensure all district residents are safe this year as well."

Namdong-gu plans to conduct steep slope safety inspections in preparation for the thawing season in March, intensive safety inspections in April, steep slope safety inspections in preparation for the rainy season in June, and multi-use facility inspections in preparation for holidays for resident safety.
