시흥시는 시흥북부장애인보호작업장의 기존 위탁 기간 종료에 따라 신규 수탁법인을 선정했다. 시는 2025년 9월 11일 위탁운영자 모집 공고를 시작으로 위탁자 선정심의를 거쳐 11월 13일 신규 수탁 법인을 최종 선정했다. 11월 28일 위·수탁 협약을 체결했다고 6일 밝혔다.
◆ 5년간 시설 운영 위임
협약 기간은 2025년 12월 29일부터 2030년 12월 28일까지 5년이다. '빛길' 사회적협동조합은 시설 전반 운영과 이용 장애인의 자립 및 직업 재활 업무를 담당한다. 신규 수탁법인은 "현장에서 이용 장애인과 함께 수익을 창출하고 다양한 프로그램 개설과 재활 지원에 힘쓰겠다"라고 밝혔다.
◆ 안정적 운영 기반 구축
시흥시는 수탁법인과 긴밀하게 협력하고 지속적인 지도·점검을 통해 시설을 안정적으로 운영할 방침이다. 심윤식 복지국장은 "지역사회 내 장애인에 대한 재활 서비스 확대와 사회 참여를 위해 책임을 다하겠다"라고 말했다.
