◆ 현장 중심의 한파 대응 체계 강화

부평구는 30일 지역 내 한파쉼터 운영 실태를 점검했다. 차준택 구청장 등 구 관계자가 참여한 이번 점검은 동암교회 비전센터를 포함한 지역 내 한파쉼터 전반을 대상으로 진행됐다.

구는 현장 방문을 통해 난방시설 가동상태, 적정 실내온도 준수 여부, 홍보물 비치 상황 등을 검증했다. 아울러 쉼터 이용객들과 대화하며 운영상 불편한 점과 개선 사항을 청취했다.

◆ 민간과 함께 구축한 생활 밀착형 안전망

동암교회 비전센터는 종교시설이 한파쉼터로 운영되는 민관협력 우수 사례로 꼽힌다. 지자체와 민간이 취약계층을 직접 보호하는 생활 밀착형 안전망을 구축한 사례로 평가된다.

부평구 관계자는 "한파는 짧은 시간 내 인명피해로 이어질 수 있다"며 "행정의 노력뿐 아니라 지역사회 협력이 필수적"이라고 강조했다.

◆ 통년적 지원체계로 취약계층 보호

구는 한파 특보 발효 시 쉼터 운영 상황을 수시로 점검할 계획이다. 동 행정복지센터 및 민간 시설과 협력해 현장 중심의 한파 대응 체계를 지속적으로 강화한다.

부평구 관계자는 "앞으로도 민관이 함께하는 한파쉼터 운영을 통해 취약계층 보호에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
