◆ 관광안내소·공중산책로 준공식 개최

옹진군(군수 문경복)이 30일 인천 옹진군 영흥면 선재리 일원에서 '선재도 관광안내소 및 공중산책로 준공식'을 개최했다. 준공식에는 지역 주민과 관계기관 관계자들이 참석해 관광 인프라 완공을 축하했다. 옹진군은 수도권 접근성이 뛰어난 선재도를 당일치기 관광지에서 체류형 관광지로 발전시키기 위해 이번 시설을 조성했다.

◆ 관광안내소 440㎡·공중산책로 조성

관광안내소는 연면적 약 440㎡, 2층 규모다. 1층은 관광 정보 제공과 안내 기능을 담당하고 2층은 선재도의 자연과 주민 삶을 담은 마을전시관으로 구성했다. 공중산책로는 선재도 공영주차장과 목섬 산책로를 연결하는 보행로다. 바다, 갯벌, 목섬 경관을 입체적으로 감상할 수 있으며 야경 경관과 휴식 공간도 갖췄다.

◆ 체류형 섬 관광지로 발전 추진

문경복 옹진군수는 "이번 준공은 선재도를 '머무는 섬'으로 만드는 첫걸음"이라며 "지역 주민과 관광객 모두가 만족할 수 있는 지속 가능한 관광 환경을 만들겠다"고 말했다. 옹진군은 이번 사업을 계기로 관광 연계 프로그램과 콘텐츠를 개발해 지역 경제 활성화에 기여할 계획이다.

◆ Completion Ceremony Held for Tourist Facilities

Ongjin County (Governor Moon Gyeong-bok) held the completion ceremony for the Seonjae Island Tourist Information Center and Elevated Walkway in Seonjae-ri, Yeongheung-myeon, Incheon on December 30. Local residents and officials attended to celebrate the completion of tourism infrastructure. Ongjin County developed the facilities to transform Seonjae Island from a day-trip destination into a stay-based tourist site, leveraging its excellent accessibility from the Seoul metropolitan area.

◆ 440㎡ Tourist Center and Elevated Walkway Built

The tourist information center spans approximately 440 square meters across two floors. The first floor provides tourist information and guidance services. The second floor houses a village exhibition hall showcasing Seonjae Island's nature and residents' lives. The elevated walkway connects the Seonjae Island public parking lot to the Mokseom trail. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the sea, tidal flats, and Mokseom landscape. The walkway also features night scenery viewing and rest areas.

◆ Pursuing Development as Stay-Based Island Destination

Governor Moon Gyeong-bok said the completion marks the first step in making Seonjae Island "an island where visitors stay." He added that the county will create a sustainable tourism environment satisfying both residents and tourists. Ongjin County plans to develop tourism-linked programs and content to contribute to local economic revitalization.
