서울 용산구(구청장 박희영)가 30일 오후 2시 용문동 5-64번지에서 '용문 파크골프 퍼팅연습장' 준공식을 개최했다.
준공식에는 박희영 용산구청장, 김성철 용산구의회 의장, 이상열 용산구파크골프협회장, 윤영채 파크골프교실 협의회장 등 관계자와 주민 100여 명이 참석했다. 행사는 경과보고, 기념사, 축사, 테이프 커팅, 시설 순회 순으로 약 20분간 진행됐다.
◆ 서울 자치구 최초 철도 유휴부지 활용
용문 파크골프 퍼팅연습장은 지하철 6호선 효창공원앞역과 경의선 숲길공원 사이에 위치한 425㎡ 규모의 공공체육시설이다. 철도 유휴부지를 활용해 조성한 파크골프 연습장으로는 서울시 자치구 중 첫 사례다.
구는 지난 8월 국가철도공단으로부터 국유재산 사용 허가를 받은 뒤 설계 용역을 거쳐 12월 한 달간 시설 공사를 진행했다. 장기간 방치됐던 폐기물을 수거하고 부지를 정비한 후 인조 잔디 연습장과 경계 펜스를 설치했다.
시설은 새해부터 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영된다. 도로 및 횡단보도 인접 입지를 고려해 '띄워 치기'를 금지하고 비구 방지 울타리를 설치해 퍼팅 연습만 가능하도록 운영한다. 구는 동행 일자리 인력 2명을 배치한다.
◆ 스크린 파크골프장 2곳 추가 조성
구는 실외 연습장에 이어 실내 스크린 파크골프장 2곳도 조성 중이다.
'용산 스크린파크골프 삼각지점'은 지하철 6호선 삼각지역 165호 상가(한강대로 지하 185)에 들어선다. 지하철 역사 내 공실 상가를 활용한 스크린 파크골프장은 서울시 자치구 중 최초다. 구는 지난 5월 서울교통공사와 업무협약을 체결했다. 시설 규모는 258.2㎡로 스크린 파크골프 타석 5면과 휴게공간으로 구성되며, 각 타석에 냉난방 시스템을 갖춘다.
'용산 스크린파크골프 남산점'은 용산2가동 기계식 공영주차장 내 주민편의시설 2~3층(신흥로2길 74)에 조성된다. 총면적 274㎡로 2층에 스크린 파크골프 타석 4면, 3층에 휴게공간을 배치했다. 3층 테라스에서는 퍼팅 연습과 휴식이 가능하다.
삼각지점은 내년 2월, 남산점은 4월 개장 예정이며, 용산구시설관리공단 문화체육센터가 운영을 맡는다. 구는 지난 7월 공단과 위수탁 계약을 체결했다.
박희영 구청장은 "급증하는 파크골프 수요에 대응하기 위해 철도 유휴부지를 활용한 실외 연습장을 조성했다"며 "앞으로도 관련 시설을 지속 확충해 주민들이 건강한 여가생활을 누릴 수 있도록 하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Yongsan District Opens Seoul's First Park Golf Range on Idle Railway Land
425㎡ putting range completed in Yongmun-dong; two indoor screen park golf facilities under construction
Yongsan District in Seoul held a completion ceremony for the Yongmun Park Golf Putting Range at 5-64 Yongmun-dong on the afternoon of December 30.
District Mayor Park Hee-young, Yongsan District Council Chairman Kim Seong-cheol, Yongsan Park Golf Association President Lee Sang-yeol, and approximately 100 residents attended the 20-minute ceremony.
The 425-square-meter public sports facility is located between Hyochang Park Station on Subway Line 6 and Gyeongui Line Forest Park. It marks Seoul's first district-level park golf range built on idle railway land.
The district received permission from Korea National Railway in August to use the state-owned property. After completing design work, construction proceeded throughout December. Workers removed long-abandoned waste, prepared the site, and installed artificial turf and boundary fencing.
The facility opens in the new year and operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Given its proximity to roads and crosswalks, the district prohibits lofted shots and installed ball-stop fencing to limit use to putting practice only.
The district is also developing two indoor screen park golf facilities. The Samgakji location will occupy a 258.2-square-meter vacant shop inside Samgakji Station on Line 6, becoming Seoul's first screen park golf venue in a subway station. It features five hitting bays with climate control systems and opens in February.
The Namsan location occupies the second and third floors of a resident convenience facility at a public parking structure in Yongsan 2-ga-dong. The 274-square-meter space includes four hitting bays on the second floor and a lounge with terrace on the third floor. It opens in April.
The Yongsan District Facilities Management Corporation will operate both indoor facilities.
