◆ 실무추진단 구성해 현장 의견 수렴 중
인천시교육청은 현장 의견을 반영하고 연구용역의 실행 가능성을 높이기 위해 교육지원청 개편 실무추진단을 구성해 운영 중이다. 실무추진단에는 인천시교육청과 각 교육지원청 관계자들이 참여한다. 실무추진단은 의견 수렴과 연구 내용 검토를 진행하고 있다. 교육지원청 개편 연구용역은 12월 중순 중간보고회를 통해 연구 성과와 핵심 쟁점을 공유한다. 최종보고서는 내년 1월 말 확정될 예정이다.
◆ 내년 개청 추진단 구성해 분리·신설 본격화
인천시교육청은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 개편안을 마련한다. 이후 내년 교육지원청 개청 추진단을 구성해 분리·신설 절차를 본격 추진할 계획이다. 인천시교육청 관계자는 "과밀학교 등 지역 현안은 기존 교육지원청 체제만으로는 대응에 한계가 있다"고 말했다. 이 관계자는 "추진단을 운영해 현장 의견을 반영한 개편안을 마련하고 지역 특성에 맞는 교육정책 역량을 확보해 교육 여건 개선에 나설 것"이라고 밝혔다.
