◆ 이재명 대통령 부부 해인교회 성탄 예배 참석

이재명 대통령과 김혜경 여사가 성탄절인 25일 인천 계양구 해인교회를 찾아 성탄 예배에 참석했다고 김남준 대변인이 서면브리핑을 통해 전했다. 해인교회는 1986년 노동자들이 설립한 '민중교회'다. 이 대통령의 국회의원 시절 지역구였던 계양구에 위치해 있다. 해인교회는 노숙인 쉼터 운영 등 소외계층을 위한 지역 사회 사업을 해오고 있다. 이번 일정은 성탄의 본래 의미를 되새기고 종교를 넘어 사회적 통합의 가치를 강조하기 위한 취지에서 마련됐다.

◆ 교인 130여 명과 오찬 후 노틀담 수녀원 방문

예배 후 이 대통령과 김혜경 여사는 교인 130여 명과 교회 식당에서 비빔밥으로 오찬을 함께했다. 이 대통령은 직접 줄을 서서 자율 배식을 받았다. 식사 중 교인들과 대화를 나누고 기념촬영을 했다. 오찬을 마친 이 대통령은 인근에 위치한 계양구 노틀담 수녀원을 방문해 수녀들과 성탄 인사를 나눴다. 노틀담 수녀원은 설립 이래 장애인 복지관과 교육 시설 등을 운영하며 소외계층의 재활과 자립을 지원하고 있다.
