◆ 3개 기업 408억 원 투자협약 체결
경기경제자유구역청이 17일 경기경제청에서 평택시, 자동차부품 제조기업 3개사와 평택 포승(BIX)지구 산업시설용지 투자협약을 체결했다. 협약기업은 오성머티리얼, 선일솔루션, 코리아와이에스 3곳이며 총 투자규모는 408억 원이다. 협약식에는 김능식 경기경제자유구역청장, 이성호 평택시 부시장, 김재균 경기도의회 경제노동위원, 이학수 도의원, 협약기업 대표 등이 참석했다.
◆ 2만 2천㎡ 규모 생산시설 구축…209명 신규 고용
3개 기업은 포승지구 내 2만 2천㎡ 부지에 친환경 자동차용 방열시스템, 차량 액세서리, 전장부품 생산시설을 구축한다. 오성머티리얼(대표 오철운)은 방열판과 히트파이프 등 자동차용 열관리 부품을 생산하며, 기존 투자기업 조양메탈과 협력해 일원화된 공정 체계를 구축해 생산 효율성을 높인다. 선일솔루션(대표 조송남)은 현대자동차·기아·KG모빌리티 등에 사이드스텝·엠블럼·범퍼 등 외장부품을 공급한다. 코리아와이에스(대표 유기혁)는 초음파센서·무선충전코일·스위치 등 전장부품을 생산한다. 이번 투자로 209명의 신규 일자리가 창출된다.

◆ 글로벌 기업 입주 기지…첨단 모빌리티 산업 중심지로
평택 포승지구는 현대모비스·TOK·에어프로덕츠·대운시스템 등 글로벌 기업이 이미 입주해 있으며, 평택항과 인접해 수출입 접근성이 우수하다. 김능식 청장은 "이번 협약은 평택 포승지구가 미래차 산업 생태계의 중심으로 도약하는 전환점이 될 것"이라고 말했다. 경기경제청은 평택 포승지구 입주기업 협의체를 운영하며 기업 애로사항을 청취하고 규제를 개선해 기업과 함께 성장하는 실천 행정을 진행할 방침이다.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Neung-sik, Director of the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority, Lee Sung-ho, Pyeongtaek City Vice Mayor, Kim Jae-kyun, Member of Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Economic and Labor Committee, Lee Hak-soo, Provincial Councilor, and representatives of the signatory companies.
◆ Production Facilities on 22,000 Square Meters to Create 209 New Jobs
The three companies will construct eco-friendly automotive thermal management systems, vehicle accessories, and electric component production facilities on 22,000 square meters within the Poseung District. Osung Materials (CEO O Chul-un) manufactures automotive thermal management components including heat dissipation plates and heat pipes, and will establish an integrated manufacturing process in cooperation with existing investor Joyang Metal to enhance production efficiency. Seonil Solution (CEO Cho Song-nam) supplies exterior parts including side steps, emblems, and bumpers to Hyundai Motor, Kia, and KG Mobility. Korea WS (CEO Yoo Ki-hyuk) produces advanced automotive electronic components including ultrasonic sensors, wireless charging coils, and switches. This investment will create 209 new jobs.
◆ Global Companies' Hub and Emerging Center of Advanced Mobility Industry
Poseung District already hosts global companies including Hyundai Mobis, TOK, Air Products, and Daewoon Systems, with excellent export-import accessibility due to proximity to Pyeongtaek Port. Director Kim Neung-sik stated, "This agreement will serve as a pivotal turning point for Poseung District to emerge as the center of the future automotive industry ecosystem." The Gyeonggi Economic Zone Authority will operate a consultative body of companies in Poseung District, listen to corporate grievances, and continue practical administration that grows together with companies through regulatory improvement.
