KT(대표이사 김영섭)는 마이크로소프트와 협업해 개발한 '시큐어 퍼블릭 클라우드'를 국내 시장에 출시한다고 12일 밝혔다. 국내 금융·제조 기업을 중심으로 우선 적용하고, 향후 다양한 산업군으로 시장을 확대할 방침이다.
◆ 데이터 전 과정 암호화...하드웨어 기반 보안 적용
KT는 마이크로소프트 애저(Azure) 기반의 시큐어 퍼블릭 클라우드 출시로 기존 클라우드 서비스와 함께 강력한 멀티 클라우드 라인업을 확보했다. 이 서비스는 국내 디지털 주권과 클라우드 성능을 동시에 충족한다. 데이터 저장·전송·사용의 전 과정을 안전하게 보호하고, 고객의 자원 권한을 강화하며, 국내 데이터 저장·관리를 지원한다. 시큐어 퍼블릭 클라우드에는 '기밀 컴퓨팅' 기술이 적용됐다. 클라우드 인프라에 하드웨어 기반 보안기술이 적용돼 메모리상의 데이터를 암호화해 저장함으로써 외부에서 데이터를 확인할 수 없도록 보호한다.
◆ 국내 데이터 저장·관리...통합 서비스 제공
하드웨어 기반 보안 장치인 '관리형 HSM'을 통해 이용 기업이 직접 관리하는 전용 키를 안전하게 생성·보관·관리한다. 시큐어 퍼블릭 클라우드의 모든 데이터는 기본적으로 국내에서 저장·관리하도록 설정돼, 데이터 자원은 국내 기업과 기관의 권한 내에서 통제된다. KT는 클라우드 MSP 사업자로서 클라우드 도입 컨설팅부터 운영까지 통합 서비스를 제공한다. 유서봉 KT Enterprise부문 AX사업본부장 상무는 "시큐어 퍼블릭 클라우드는 고객의 디지털 주권은 강화하면서도 글로벌 수준의 보안과 컴플라이언스 기준을 충족할 수 있는 안전한 클라우드 서비스"라며 "KT는 고객들이 신뢰도 높은 소버린 클라우드 환경을 경험할 수 있도록 서비스 적용 범위를 점진적으로 확대해 갈 것"이라고 말했다.

Through the hardware-based security device "Managed HSM," companies directly manage, safely generate, store, and manage dedicated keys. All data in Secure Public Cloud is basically set to be stored and managed domestically, and data resources are controlled within the authority of domestic companies and institutions. KT provides integrated services from cloud adoption consulting to operations as a cloud MSP provider. Yoo Seo-bong, Executive Director of KT Enterprise Division AX Business Division, stated, "Secure Public Cloud is a safe cloud service that can strengthen customers' digital sovereignty while meeting global-level security and compliance standards," adding, "KT will gradually expand the scope of service application so that customers can experience a highly reliable sovereign cloud environment."
