◆ 15년 만에 방한, '오징어게임' 깐부치킨 선택

젠슨 황 CEO, 이재용 회장, 정의선 회장은 30일 오후 7시 30분쯤 서울 강남구 삼성역 인근 깐부치킨에서 만났다. 황 CEO는 이날 서울 코엑스에서 열린 엔비디아 그래픽카드 브랜드 지포스 한국 출시 25주년 기념행사를 마친 뒤 치킨집으로 향했다.

회동 장소가 깐부치킨으로 정해진 것은 넷플릭스 드라마 오징어게임에 나오는 깐부처럼 각별한 사이가 되겠다는 의지를 나타낸 것으로 해석된다. 깐부는 어린 시절 새끼손가락을 마주 걸어 같은 편을 했던 친구, 즉 친한 단짝 친구를 뜻한다.

세 사람은 치킨을 안주 삼아 생맥주로 건배를 한 뒤 소맥 폭탄주까지 원샷하며 우정을 나눴다. 황 CEO가 옆 테이블의 소맥 타워에 관심을 보이자 이재용 회장이 소맥에 대해 설명했다.

황 CEO는 이재용 회장과 정의선 회장에게 선물을 전달했다. 회동이 진행되는 동안 치킨집 밖에는 취재진과 시민 수백명이 몰려 인산인해를 이뤘다.

황 CEO는 회동 중 밖으로 나와 시민들에게 치킨과 치즈스틱을 나눠주기도 했다. 황 CEO가 "오늘 모두 공짜"라며 치킨집의 골든벨을 울렸다.

황 CEO는 두 총수와 고대역폭메모리 HBM부터 자율주행·미래차 등 AI 협력을 폭넓게 논의한 것으로 전해졌다.

삼성전자는 엔비디아에 AI 칩의 핵심 부품인 고대역폭메모리 HBM 공급을 추진하고 있다. 현대차그룹은 올해 1월 엔비디아와 전략적 제휴를 맺고 로봇·자율주행 분야 등에서 협업하고 있다.
