인천시가 지역 특성에 맞춘 수소산업 생태계 조성을 위한 중장기 기본계획 수립에 나섰다.
인천시는 4일 미추홀타워에서 '제8차 인천시 수소산업위원회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 수소산업위원회는 시 수소산업 육성 및 지원에 관한 조례에 따라 구성된 자문기구로, 수소산업 관련 산·학·연 전문가들로 구성돼 있다.
◆ 제3기 위원 위촉 및 육성 기본계획 중간보고
이번 회의에서는 제3기 수소산업위원회 위원 위촉식과 함께 인천시 수소산업 육성 기본계획 수립 용역의 중간보고가 진행됐다.
중간보고에서는 인천이 보유한 수소 생산 인프라와 대중교통 부문의 수소 활용 경험, 지리적 장점을 활용한 지역 특성 맞춤형 수소산업 생태계 조성 방안이 논의됐다.
◆ 7대 광역시 중 최다 수소충전소 15곳 운영
인천시는 현재 국내 최대 규모의 수소 대중교통 체계를 구축하고 있으며, 15곳의 수소충전소를 운영해 7대 특·광역시 중 가장 많은 수소 인프라를 보유하고 있다.
인천시는 이번 용역을 통해 중장기 비전과 목표를 담은 수소산업 육성 기본계획을 수립해 2026년 3월 공개할 예정이다.
◆ "민관 협력 기반 전방위 정책 추진"
수소산업위원회는 "민관 협력을 바탕으로 인천형 수소산업 생태계를 체계적으로 구축하고, 기술 혁신·인프라 확충·인재 양성 등 전방위적 정책을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

Incheon city is currently building the largest hydrogen public transportation system in Korea and operates 15 hydrogen refueling stations, possessing the most hydrogen infrastructure among the 7 special and metropolitan cities.
Incheon city plans to establish a hydrogen industry development master plan containing mid- to long-term vision and goals through this service and release it in March 2026.
◆ "Promoting comprehensive policies based on public-private cooperation"
The Hydrogen Industry Committee stated "Based on public-private cooperation, we will systematically build an Incheon-style hydrogen industry ecosystem and continuously promote comprehensive policies including technological innovation, infrastructure expansion, and talent cultivation."
