◆ 신년인사회 성황리 개최

군포시는 6일 시청 대회의실에서 군포상공회의소 신년인사회를 개최했다. 하은호 시장, 고영인 경기도 경제부지사, 김용일 군포상공회의소 회장을 포함해 도·시의원, 유관기관 및 단체장, 지역 상공인 등 200여 명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 새해 인사를 나누고 지역경제 발전을 위한 결의를 다졌다.

하은호 시장은 "어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 시와 상공인이 함께 힘을 모아 지역경제의 활력을 지켜냈다"고 말했다. 시장은 산본신도시 재정비, 철도지하화, 금정역 통합개발 등 주요 사업 추진 상황을 설명했다. 특히 SK에코플랜트, SK D&D와 체결한 AI 기반 데이터센터 유치 업무협약을 강조하며 "군포가 디지털산업 중심 도시로 도약하는 중요한 계기가 될 것"이라고 밝혔다. 하 시장은 "2026년에도 기업경영 안정과 중소기업·근로자 지원을 위한 시책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

◆ 중소·중견기업 경쟁력 강화 나선다

김용일 군포상공회의소 회장은 "어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 기업인들의 끈기와 도전이 군포 경제의 저력"이라고 평가했다. 김 회장은 "기업의 목소리를 대변하고 중소·중견기업 경쟁력 강화와 지속 가능한 지역경제 생태계 구축에 역량을 집중하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Digital Industry Transformation Through AI Data Center Attraction

Mayor Ha Eun-ho stated, "Even amid difficult economic conditions, the city and business community have worked together to maintain the vitality of the local economy." The mayor outlined ongoing major projects including the restructuring of Sanbon New Town, railroad underground construction, and integrated development of Geumjeong Station. He particularly emphasized the business cooperation agreement with SK Eco Plant and SK D&D to attract an AI-based data center, saying, "This will be an important catalyst for Gunpo to advance into a digital industry-focused city." Mayor Ha added, "In 2026, the city will continue to implement measures to stabilize corporate management and support small and medium-sized enterprises and workers."

Chamber of Commerce Chairman Kim Yong-il evaluated the difficult economic conditions, stating, "The persistence and challenge of business leaders is the foundation of Gunpo's economy." Chairman Kim said, "We will concentrate our efforts on representing the voice of businesses, strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, and building a sustainable local economic ecosystem."
