◆ 원적산공원 환경개선 예산 총 2억6천만 원 확보
인천광역시의회 나상길 의원(무소속·부평구4)은 2026년도 인천시 예산안 심의 과정에서 원적산공원 환경개선 예산 총 2억6천만 원을 확보했다고 5일 밝혔다. 주차장 환경개선 사업비 2억5천만 원과 공원 내 걷기길(둘레길) 조성 실시설계 용역비 1천만 원을 반영했다. 부평구에 위치한 원적산공원은 도심 속 녹지 공간으로 많은 시민이 찾는 명소다. 그동안 무료 개방된 주차장에 캠핑카와 대형화물차 등 장기 주차 문제가 지속됐다. 일반 시민들이 주차할 곳을 찾지 못해 발길을 돌리거나 이면도로 불법 주차가 발생하는 등 불편 민원이 제기돼 왔다.
◆ 주차장 유료화 전환·걷기길 조성 추진
나상길 의원은 현장을 여러 차례 방문해 문제의 심각성을 확인했다. 나상길 의원은 집행부 관계 부서와 긴밀히 협의하며 주차장 유료화 전환 시스템 구축과 차단기 설치 등 실효성 있는 대책 마련을 촉구해 왔다. 확보된 2억5천만 원은 장기 주차 문제를 근본적으로 차단하고 공원 이용객들에게 쾌적한 주차 환경을 제공하는 데 투입된다. 걷기길 조성 용역비 1천만 원은 원적산공원 내 단절된 구간을 잇고 숲길과 힐링 산책로 조성을 위한 실시설계에 활용된다.
◆ 나상길 의원 "올해 달라진 원적산공원 시민 품에"
나상길 의원은 "원적산공원은 부평구민뿐 아니라 인천시민 모두의 소중한 휴식처"라고 말했다. 나상길 의원은 "장기 주차 문제로 눈살을 찌푸렸던 시민들에게 쾌적한 주차 공간을 돌려드리고 새롭게 조성될 걷기길을 통해 더 많은 분이 원적산의 정취를 느끼며 건강을 챙길 수 있기를 바란다"고 밝혔다. 나상길 의원은 "예산 확보는 끝이 아니라 시작"이라며 "올해 확 달라진 원적산공원을 시민 품에 안겨드릴 수 있도록 집행 과정을 꼼꼼히 살피고 추가 주차 공간 확보를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

Councilor Na said, "Securing the budget is not the end but the beginning," adding, "I will closely monitor the execution process to deliver a dramatically transformed Wonjeoksan Park to citizens this year and continue efforts to secure additional parking spaces."
