◆ 현충탑 참배

시흥시의회(의장 오인열)가 2026년 병오년 새해를 맞아 1월 2일 논곡동에 위치한 현충탑을 찾아 참배하며 첫 공식 의정활동을 시작했다. 이번 행사는 순국선열과 호국영령의 희생정신을 기리고 새해 시민을 위한 책임 있는 의정활동을 다짐하기 위해 마련됐다. 오인열 의장을 비롯한 시흥시의회 의원들과 임병택 시흥시장, 국회의원, 보훈단체장, 유관단체장 등 70여 명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 현충탑에 헌화·분향하며 선열들의 넋을 추모하고 2026년 지역 발전과 시민 복리 증진을 위한 적극적인 활동을 결의했다.

◆ 의장 포부

오인열 의장은 "병오년 새해 첫걸음을 순국선열에 대한 경의로 시작하는 것은 우리 의회의 각오와 결의를 다지는 의미"라고 말했다. 이어 "시민의 목소리에 더욱 귀 기울이고 현장 중심의 실천적 의정활동으로 신뢰받는 의회가 되겠다"고 강조했다. 또한 "올해는 9대 의회가 마무리되는 해인 만큼 초심을 잃지 않고 지역 현안 해결에 앞장서겠다"는 포부를 밝혔다.

◆ 향후 일정

시흥시의회는 오는 2월 2일부터 11일까지 10일간 제333회 임시회를 개회할 예정이다. 2026년도 시정 주요 업무보고 청취 및 각종 부의안건을 처리할 계획이다.

Attendees paid tribute to the spirits of ancestors who devoted themselves to the nation by offering flowers and incense at the Memorial Tower, and resolved to actively work for regional development and citizen welfare in 2026.

◆ Future Schedule

Siheung City Council plans to open the 333rd extraordinary session for 10 days from February 2 to 11. The council plans to hear reports on major municipal affairs for 2026 and process various agenda items.
