◆ 경찰, 5일 고발인 소환 조사 실시
서울 강서경찰서는 오는 5일 더불어민주당 강선우 의원의 공천헌금 의혹과 관련해 고발인을 소환 조사한다고 1일 밝혔다. 경찰은 공직선거법 위반 등 혐의로 강선우 의원을 고발한 이상욱 정의당 강서구 위원장을 불러 고발 경위를 조사할 예정이다. 이상욱 위원장은 지난달 30일 강서경찰서에 강선우 의원과 김경 무소속 서울시의원을 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 고발했다.
◆ 2022년 지방선거 당시 1억원 수수 의혹
강선우 의원은 2022년 지방선거 당시 더불어민주당 서울시당 공천관리위원으로 활동했다. 강 의원은 자신의 지역구에서 서울시의원 출마를 준비하던 김경 당시 예비후보로부터 1억원을 받았다는 의혹을 받는다. 강 의원의 지역 보좌관이 1억원을 받아 보관한 문제를 두고 당시 공천관리위원회 간사였던 김병기 전 더불어민주당 원내대표와 상의했다는 의혹도 제기됐다. 국민의힘 소속 김태우 전 서울 강서구청장과 이상욱 위원장 등은 강 의원 등을 정치자금법 위반, 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률 위반(뇌물), 청탁금지법 위반 혐의로 경찰에 고발했다.
◆ 강서경찰서, 공공범죄수사대 이송 예정
강서경찰서는 고발인 조사를 마치는 대로 사건을 서울경찰청 공공범죄수사대에 넘길 계획이다. 공공범죄수사대는 전날(31일) 대한항공 숙박권 제공 의혹 등 김병기 전 원내대표를 둘러싼 고발 사건 11건 가운데 10건을 수사하기로 결정했다.

Seoul Gangseo Police Station announced on January 1 that it will summon and question the complainant on January 5 regarding allegations of nomination bribery involving Democratic Party Rep. Kang Sun-woo. Police plan to summon Lee Sang-wook, the Justice Party Gangseo-gu chairman who filed the complaint against Rep. Kang for violations of the Public Official Election Act, to investigate the circumstances of the complaint. Chairman Lee filed a complaint on December 30 at Gangseo Police Station against Rep. Kang Sun-woo and independent Seoul City Council member Kim Kyung for alleged violations of the Public Official Election Act.
◆ Allegations of Receiving 100 Million Won During 2022 Local Elections
Rep. Kang Sun-woo served as a nomination management committee member for the Democratic Party Seoul Metropolitan Chapter during the 2022 local elections. Rep. Kang faces allegations of receiving 100 million won from Kim Kyung, who was then a preliminary candidate preparing to run for Seoul City Council in her district. Allegations also emerged that Rep. Kang's local aide received and held the 100 million won and consulted with former Democratic Party floor leader Kim Byung-ki, who was then secretary of the nomination management committee. Former Seoul Gangseo District Mayor Kim Tae-woo of the People Power Party and Chairman Lee Sang-wook filed complaints with police against Rep. Kang for violations of the Political Funds Act, the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (bribery), and the Anti-Graft Act.
◆ Gangseo Police Station to Transfer Case to Public Crime Investigation Unit
Gangseo Police Station plans to transfer the case to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Public Crime Investigation Unit upon completion of the complainant interview. The Public Crime Investigation Unit decided on December 31 to investigate 10 of 11 complaint cases involving former floor leader Kim Byung-ki, including allegations of receiving Korean Air accommodation vouchers.
