◆ 인천교육청 85명 졸업 발표

인천광역시교육청(교육감 도성훈)은 12월 29일 성인 학습자 85명이 방송통신중·고등학교를 졸업했다고 밝혔다. 졸업식은 12월 27일 구월여중부설방송통신중학교에서, 12월 28일 제물포고부설방송통신고등학교에서 각각 개최됐다. 방송통신중·고등학교는 인터넷 기반 원격수업과 월 2회 일요일 출석수업을 병행해 3년간 교육과정을 이수하면 정규 중·고등학교 졸업장을 취득하는 과정이다.

◆ 중학교 51명, 고등학교 34명 졸업

구월여중부설방송통신중학교에서는 51명이 졸업했으며 최고령 졸업생은 82세다. 제물포고부설방송통신고등학교 졸업생은 34명으로 최고령 졸업생은 81세다. 특히 '학교 밖 학습경험 인정제'를 통해 중학교 1명과 고등학교 1명이 조기졸업했다. 구월여중부설방송통신중학교 재학생 136명 중 약 80%가 관내 방송통신고등학교로 진학할 예정이고, 제물포고부설방송통신고등학교 졸업생의 58%가 방송통신대학교나 일반대학교 등 상급학교 진학을 계획 중이다.

◆ 도성훈 교육감 "변화하는 사회 속 끊임없는 성장이 배움"

도성훈 교육감은 졸업식 축사에서 "배움은 학벌이 아니라 변화하는 사회 속에서 끊임없이 성장하려는 자세에 있다"며 "일과 배움을 병행해온 여러분은 진정한 학습자"라고 축하와 응원의 메시지를 전달했다.

Guowol Girls' Middle School's affiliated distance learning middle school had 51 graduates, with the oldest graduate at age 82. Jemulpo High School's affiliated distance learning high school had 34 graduates, with the oldest graduate at age 81. Notably, one middle school student and one high school student achieved early graduation through the "Out-of-School Learning Experience Recognition System." Approximately 80 percent of the 136 middle school students are expected to advance to the distance learning high school within the region, while 58 percent of the high school graduates plan to advance to higher institutions such as distance learning universities or general universities.

Superintendent Do Seong-hun delivered a congratulatory message at the graduation ceremony, saying, "Learning is not about academic background, but about the attitude of continuous growth in a changing society," and "You who have balanced work and learning are true learners."
