◆ 남동구, 송천초·동부교육지원청과 주차장 개방 협약 체결
인천시 남동구가 도심 주차난 해소를 위해 추진하는 학교 부설주차장 개방사업이 성과를 거두고 있다. 남동구는 논현고잔동 소재 인천송천초등학교, 인천시 동부교육지원청과 학교 부설주차장 개방 협약을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다. 이번 협약으로 해당 기관들은 학교 부설주차장 42면을 주민들에게 개방하기로 합의했다.
◆ 평일 야간·주말 회원제 운영…2026년 1월 개방
이번 학교 부설주차장 개방사업은 관학 협치로 추진됐다. 주말과 공휴일은 전일 개방된다. 평일은 저녁 6시부터 다음 날 아침 7시 30분까지 회원제로 운영된다. 남동구는 이달 중 차량 출입 주차관제기 등 각종 설비를 완료한다. 인천송천초등학교 부설주차장 42면은 2026년 1월부터 지역주민에게 개방된다. 앞서 남동구는 구월3동 소재 동인천중학교와도 지난 9월 협약을 체결하고 시설개선을 추진해 왔다. 동인천중학교 부설주차장 30면은 최근 공사를 마쳤다. 해당 주차장은 이달 중 주민에게 개방될 예정이다.
◆ 박종효 구청장 "저비용 주차난 해소 기회 마련"
박종효 남동구청장은 "관학 협치의 적극행정을 통해 저비용으로 주차난을 해소할 소중한 기회를 마련했다"고 말했다. 박 구청장은 "지역사회를 위해 큰 결단을 내려준 인천송천초등학교와 인천광역시 동부교육지원청에 감사드린다"고 밝혔다.

Through this agreement, the institutions agreed to open 42 school parking spaces to residents.
◆ Membership System for Weekday Nights and Weekends; Opening in January 2026
This school parking lot opening project was promoted through government-academia cooperation. Parking lots will be open all day on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, the lots will operate on a membership basis from 6 PM to 7:30 AM the next morning. Namdong-gu will complete installation of vehicle access control systems and various facilities this month. The 42 parking spaces at Incheon Songcheon Elementary School will open to local residents starting January 2026. Previously, Namdong-gu signed an agreement with Dongincheon Middle School in Guwol 3-dong last September and has been promoting facility improvements. The 30 parking spaces at Dongincheon Middle School recently completed construction. The parking lot is scheduled to open to residents this month.

Namdong-gu District Mayor Park Jong-hyo stated, "We have created a valuable opportunity to resolve parking shortages at low cost through proactive administration of government-academia cooperation." Mayor Park added, "I thank Incheon Songcheon Elementary School and Incheon Metropolitan City Eastern Education Support Office for making a significant decision for the local community."
