◆ 고양유니브 수료식 및 진로 교육 콘퍼런스 개최

고양특례시(시장 이동환)는 지난 23일 고양시청 백석별관에서 '2025 고양시대학생멘토단(이하 고양유니브) 수료식 및 진로 교육 콘퍼런스'를 성황리에 마쳤다고 밝혔다. 대학생 멘토, 직업인 멘토, 학부모, 교사 등 진로 교육 관계자 160여 명이 참석했다.

이날 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장, 이현숙 고양교육지원청 교육장, 최회재 고양시청소년재단 대표이사 등이 참석해 진로 교육 유공자와 대학생 멘토들을 격려했다.

◆ 대학생 멘토 129명 수료…'컴유니티' 공식 출범

1부에서는 올 한 해 관내 중고교 현장에서 학과 멘토링을 펼친 고양유니브 대학생 멘토 129명에 대한 수료식이 진행됐다. 이번 행사에서는 고양유니브 수료자들의 공식 네트워크인 '컴유니티(commUNIty)'가 정식 출범해 주목을 받았다.

컴유니티는 지난 7월 개최된 고양유니브 중간 평가회에서 선배 멘토들이 후배들에게 취업 노하우를 전수했던 '유니브 이즈 백(Univ is Back)'의 성공적인 개최를 발판 삼아 출범했다. 고양시는 이를 통해 '중고등학생-대학생-청년 직장인'으로 이어지는 인적 자원 환류 체계와 진로 교육 선순환 구조를 본격화할 계획이다.

◆ 780명 참여해 청소년 5만9천명에 진로 체험 제공

2부 콘퍼런스에서는 진로 교육 발전에 기여한 유공자 포상과 2025년 주요 사업 결과 보고가 이어졌다. 올해 고양특례시와 고양교육지원청, 일산서구청소년수련관이 협력해 추진한 고양형 진로 체험 사업에는 지역 체험처, 전현직 직업인, 대학생, 학부모, 진로교사 등 780명이 참여했다. 관내 청소년 5만9,358명에게 대학생 학과 멘토링, 직업인 멘토링, 현장 직업 체험 등 다양한 진로 체험 기회를 제공했다.

시 관계자는 "진로 교육은 청소년들이 더 넓은 세상을 보고 스스로의 가능성을 발견해 나가는 과정"이라며 "학교·지역사회·현장이 함께 청소년들을 지원할 수 있도록 진로 교육 체계를 더욱 견고히 다져 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Goyang Univ Completion Ceremony and Career Education Conference Held

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it successfully concluded the '2025 Goyang City University Student Mentor Group (hereinafter Goyang Univ) Completion Ceremony and Career Education Conference' at Goyang City Hall Baekseok Annex on December 23. Approximately 160 career education stakeholders including university student mentors, professional mentors, parents, and teachers attended.

Goyang Special City Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, Goyang Office of Education Superintendent Lee Hyun-sook, and Goyang Youth Foundation CEO Choi Hoe-jae attended the event to encourage career education contributors and university student mentors.

◆ 129 University Student Mentors Graduate…'CommUNIty' Officially Launches

The first part featured a completion ceremony for 129 Goyang Univ university student mentors who conducted major mentoring at middle and high schools throughout the year. The official network of Goyang Univ graduates, 'commUNIty,' officially launched at this event, drawing significant attention.

CommUNIty was launched building on the successful hosting of 'Univ is Back,' where senior mentors shared employment know-how with juniors at the Goyang Univ mid-term evaluation meeting held in July. Through this, Goyang City plans to fully implement a human resource circulation system and career education virtuous cycle structure connecting 'middle and high school students-university students-young workers.'

◆ 780 Participants Provide Career Experience to 59,000 Youth

The second part conference featured awards for contributors to career education development and reports on 2025 major project results. The Goyang-type career experience project promoted through close cooperation between Goyang Special City, Goyang Office of Education, and Ilsanseo-gu Youth Center this year saw participation from 780 people including local experience sites, current and former professionals, university students, parents, and career teachers. Various career experience opportunities including university student major mentoring, professional mentoring, and on-site work experience were provided to 59,358 youth in the area.

A city official stated, "Career education is a process where youth see a wider world and discover their own possibilities," adding, "We will further strengthen the career education system so that schools, local communities, and the field can support youth together."
