◆ 뷰티풀파크 버스공영차고지 준공

인천광역시(시장 유정복)는 서구 오류동 뷰티풀파크 일반산업단지 내 '뷰티풀파크(구 검단산단) 버스공영차고지'가 지난 12월 15일 공사를 준공했다고 밝혔다. 뷰티풀파크 버스공영차고지는 대규모 개발사업으로 증가하는 서구 검단지역의 대중교통 수요에 대응하기 위해 2020년부터 추진한 교통 인프라 구축 사업이다. 총사업비는 국비 44억 원과 시비 123억 원 등 총 167억 원을 투입했다.

약 1만㎡ 규모의 부지에 버스 주차면 51면을 조성했다. 운전자 편의시설과 운수사 사무실이 포함된 관리동을 설치했다. 상시 이용 가능한 정비동과 세차동도 갖췄다. 특히 인천시 버스공영차고지 중 최초로 수소충전시설을 설치했다. 향후 수소버스 보급 확대와 친환경 대중교통체계 전환에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

◆ 장철배 교통국장 발언

장철배 인천시 교통국장은 "버스공영차고지는 버스 노선 운영의 안정성, 배차 간격 준수, 운영 효율화는 물론 운수종사자의 근로환경 개선에 기여하는 대중교통의 핵심 기반 시설"이라고 말했다. 그는 "현재 서구와 계양구에 각 1개소의 공영차고지를 조성하고 있다"며 "앞으로도 지역별 주요 기점에 차고지를 단계적으로 확충해 시민이 체감하는 대중교통 서비스를 제공하겠다"고 밝혔다.

The Beautiful Park Public Bus Depot is a transportation infrastructure project promoted since 2020 to respond to increasing public transportation demand in the Geomdan area of Seo-gu due to large-scale development projects. A total project cost of 16.7 billion won was invested, including 4.4 billion won in national funds and 12.3 billion won in city funds.

◆ Facility Status

51 bus parking spaces were created on a site of approximately 10,000㎡. A management building including driver convenience facilities and transportation company offices was installed. Maintenance and car wash buildings available for regular use were also equipped. Notably, this is the first hydrogen charging facility installed among Incheon City's public bus depots. It is expected to contribute to the expansion of hydrogen bus supply and transition to an eco-friendly public transportation system in the future.

◆ Transportation Bureau Director Jang Cheol-bae's Remarks

Jang Cheol-bae, Director of the Transportation Bureau of Incheon City, said, "The public bus depot is a core infrastructure facility for public transportation that contributes to the stability of bus route operations, compliance with dispatch intervals, operational efficiency, and improvement of working conditions for transportation workers." He stated, "We are currently building one public depot each in Seo-gu and Gyeyang-gu," adding, "We will continue to gradually expand depots at major origin points in each region to provide public transportation services that citizens can feel."
