◆ 남동구 어린이 안전대상 국무총리상 수상

인천시 남동구는 행정안전부 주관 '제15회 어린이 안전대상' 시상식에서 국무총리상을 받았다고 19일 밝혔다. 어린이 안전대상은 어린이 안전에 대한 지역사회의 관심을 높이고 지방정부의 우수 정책을 전국으로 확산하기 위해 2011년부터 매년 시행되고 있다. 남동구는 어린이 시설개선 및 설치사업, 재난예방 및 대응 교육, 참여형 공모전 및 퀴즈대회 등 '어린이 안전 동행 프로젝트'가 높이 평가받았다.

◆ 주요 우수 시책

남동구는 학교 부지를 활용한 등·하굣길 안심 통학로 조성 사업을 추진했다. CPTED 기반 남동형 안심 구역 구축사업도 시행했다. 이 사업에는 어린이공원 비상벨 설치와 AI 지능형 선별관제시스템 구축 등이 포함된다. 찾아가는 어린이 안전교육과 어린이놀이시설 안전지킴이 운영도 진행했다. 남동 새싹민방위교실 운영 등 다양한 우수 시책을 선보였다.

◆ 박종효 남동구청장 발언

박종효 남동구청장은 "이번 수상은 어린이 안전을 최우선으로 삼고 그동안 일궈온 노력의 결실"이라고 말했다. 그는 "단순히 시설 설치에 국한하는 것이 아닌 아이들의 역량을 강화하고 지역사회 모두가 안전을 실천하는 것이 안전 문화 확산의 핵심"이라고 밝혔다.

◆ Namdong-gu Receives Prime Minister's Award at Children's Safety Awards

Incheon Namdong-gu announced on the 19th that it received the Prime Minister's Award at the '15th Children's Safety Awards' ceremony hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The Children's Safety Awards has been held annually since 2011 to raise local community interest in children's safety and spread excellent local government policies nationwide. Namdong-gu was highly evaluated for its 'Children's Safety Companion Project,' which includes children's facility improvement and installation projects, disaster prevention and response education, and participatory contests and quiz competitions.

◆ Major Excellent Policies

Namdong-gu promoted the safe school route creation project utilizing school premises for going to and from school. It also implemented the CPTED-based Namdong-type safety zone establishment project. This project includes installation of emergency bells in children's parks and establishment of AI intelligent screening control systems. It also conducted visiting children's safety education and operated children's playground safety guardians. Various excellent policies were presented, including operation of Namdong Sprout Civil Defense Classroom.

◆ Namdong-gu District Mayor Park Jong-hyo's Remarks

Namdong-gu District Mayor Park Jong-hyo said, "This award is the result of efforts made by prioritizing children's safety." He stated, "The key to spreading safety culture is not simply limited to installing facilities, but strengthening children's capabilities and having the entire local community practice safety."
