◆ 강화군 양사면 교회서 화재 발생
인천 강화도 한 교회 예배당에서 불이 나 6시간 만에 진화됐다. 21일 인천소방본부에 따르면 전날인 20일 오전 7시 54분께 강화군 양사면 한 교회에서 화재가 발생했다.
◆ 소방 인력 72명 투입해 6시간 만에 진화
소방당국은 펌프차 등 장비 33대와 인력 72명을 현장에 투입했다. 화재는 같은 날 오후 1시 46분께 완전히 진화됐다. 발생부터 진화까지 약 6시간이 소요됐다.
◆ 1893년 설립 역사적 교회…2003년 신축 예배당 피해
이번 화재로 인명피해는 없었다. 다만 2층 대예배실 232㎡와 집기류 등이 불에 탔다. 해당 교회는 1893년 강화도에 최초로 세워진 개신교 교회다. 이번에 화재 피해를 입은 건물은 2003년 신축된 예배당이다. 소방당국 관계자는 "정확한 화재 원인을 조사할 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
