인천광역시 계양구는 20일 저녁 계양아라온 북단에서 2025 크리스마스 페스타 점등식을 개최하며 계양의 겨울밤을 밝히는 연말 축제의 막을 올렸다.

◆14m 화이트 트리·빛의 거리 연출

올해 트리마을은 높이 14m의 대형 화이트 트리와 다채로운 크리스마스 조형물, 반짝이는 트리 군락으로 꾸며져 방문객들에게 눈 내린 겨울 동화 속을 걷는 듯한 특별한 풍경을 선사한다.

트리마을은 계양아라온의 빛의 거리와 자연스럽게 연결돼 하나의 동선으로 확장되며, 더욱 풍성한 야간 경관을 연출하고 있다.

점등식은 계수중학교 댄스동아리 텐션의 활기찬 식전 공연으로 시작됐다. 트리마을의 불빛이 일제히 켜지는 순간 시민들은 환호와 감동으로 하나가 됐으며, 축제 분위기는 절정에 달했다.

◆교회 2곳 성금 2천만 원 전달

이날 행사에서는 지역사회의 따뜻한 나눔을 전하는 기부행사도 함께 진행됐다. 계산중앙교회가 1,000만 원, 온누리교회가 1,004만 원의 성금을 각각 전달하며 연말연시를 맞아 이웃을 향한 따뜻한 연대의 의미를 더했다.

이어진 축하공연에서는 계양구 홍보대사인 가수 다혜와 팬텀싱어 출연으로 알려진 성악가 안세권이 무대에 올라 시민들에게 특별한 무대를 선사하며 축제의 열기를 이어갔다.

◆사계절 관광명소로 위상 강화

계양아라온은 올해 사계절 다양한 문화행사, 빛의 거리 3단계 아트웨이 조성, 포시즌 가든, 백일홍·가을꽃 축제 등 다양한 문화·관광 콘텐츠를 확충하며 수도권의 관광명소로 위상을 강화해 왔다. 이번 크리스마스 페스타는 이러한 사계절 콘텐츠 전략과 연계돼 계양아라온의 야간경관 매력을 더욱 높이는 계기가 될 것이다.

2025 크리스마스 페스타는 내년 1월 30일까지 이어진다.

윤환 구청장은 "계양아라온의 아름다운 겨울빛이 구민 여러분의 마음에 따뜻한 희망의 불빛이 되기를 바란다"라며 "앞으로도 계양을 사계절 찾아오고 싶은 관광도시로 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"라고 밝혔다.

◆14m white tree and street of lights presentation

This year's Tree Village is decorated with a 14-meter-tall large white tree, colorful Christmas sculptures, and sparkling tree clusters, presenting visitors with a special landscape that feels like walking through a snowy winter fairy tale.

Tree Village is naturally connected to Gyeyang Araon's Street of Lights and expands into a single flow line, creating a richer nighttime landscape.

The lighting ceremony began with an energetic pre-ceremony performance by Gyesu Middle School dance club Tension. The moment the lights of Tree Village turned on all at once, citizens became one with cheers and emotion, and the festival atmosphere reached its peak.

◆Two churches donate 20 million won

A donation event conveying warm sharing from the local community was also held at the event. Gyesan Central Church donated 10 million won and Onnuri Church donated 10.04 million won respectively, adding meaning to warm solidarity toward neighbors for the year-end and New Year season.

In the following congratulatory performance, singer Dahye, a Gyeyang-gu public relations ambassador, and vocalist Ahn Se-kwon, well known for appearing on Phantom Singer, took the stage and presented a special performance to citizens, continuing the festival's enthusiasm.

◆Strengthening status as four-season tourist attraction

Gyeyang Araon has strengthened its status as a metropolitan tourist attraction this year by expanding various cultural and tourism contents such as various cultural events throughout the four seasons, creation of the third stage of Street of Lights Artway, Four Season Garden, and crepe myrtle and autumn flower festivals. This Christmas Festa will serve as an opportunity to further enhance the night landscape charm of Gyeyang Araon in connection with this four-season content strategy.

The 2025 Christmas Festa continues until January 30 next year.

District Mayor Yoon Hwan said, "I hope the beautiful winter lights of Gyeyang Araon become a light of warm hope in the hearts of residents," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Gyeyang a tourist city that people want to visit throughout the four seasons."
