◆2027년 산업용지 분양 시작...연구개발·제조 융합한 특구개발사업
iH 인천도시공사가 인천 서구에 강소연구개발특구 생산거점지구인 검단2일반산업단지 조성에 착수했다.
iH는 5일 서구 오류동 일원(약 77만㎡)에서 하병필 인천시 행정부시장, 더불어민주당 모경종(인천 서구병) 국회의원, 강범석 서구청장, 강소특구사업단과 각 협력기관 등 200여명이 참석한 가운데 '인천 서구 검단2일반산업단지' 기공식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
강소연구개발특구는 과학기술정보통신부가 지정하는 소규모·고밀도 R&D(연구개발) 특구로 인천 서구 강소특구는 지난 2022년 6월 지정된 ICT 융복합 환경오염 처리·관리를 특화 분야로 하는 국내 유일의 환경산업 강소특구다.
◆환경산업 클러스터 조성...기술혁신·일자리 창출 기대
검단2일반산업단지는 강소연구개발특구의 생산거점지구로 연구개발과 제조기능을 융합해 인천을 첨단 환경기술 혁신을 선도하는 도시로 자리매김하고자 인천시와 iH가 추진하는 특구개발사업이다.
이 사업은 기술핵심기관인 인천대학교, 종합환경연구단지, 창업·벤처녹색융합클러스터 등 기술사업화 지구의 연구기관과 연계해 R&D 실증과 사업화 지원체계를 마련한다. 환경분야 유망 중소·벤처기업이 성장할 수 있는 환경산업 클러스터 조성을 목표로 하고 있다.
검단2일반산업단지는 단순한 산업시설을 넘어 인천 서구 지역의 탄소중립과 신재생에너지 확산을 위한 마중물 역할을 수행한다. 환경 관련 기업과 연구기관의 입주로 기술혁신과 기업성장, 지역 일자리 창출의 선순환 구조가 구축될 것으로 기대된다.
◆2027년 산업용지 분양...2030년 하반기 부지조성 완료
iH는 2027년부터 산업시설용지를 분양하고 2030년 하반기에 부지조성공사를 완료할 예정이다.
류윤기 iH 사장은 "이번 강소특구 개발사업은 인천 서구의 균형발전은 물론 검단이 수도권 서북부 산업벨트의 핵심 거점으로 도약하는 전환점이 될 것"이라며 "앞으로도 iH는 환경산업을 중심으로 하는 지속가능한 산업 생태계를 조성해 인천의 미래 경쟁력과 시민의 삶의 질 향상에 기여하겠다"고 밝혔다.
