옹진군이 법률서비스 접근이 어려운 도서지역 주민들의 권리보호와 생활불편 해소를 위해 '찾아가는 무료 법률상담실'을 운영한다고 31일 밝혔다. 군수 문경복이 발표했다.
◆ 5개 면 순차 운영, 현장 신청 가능
무료 법률상담은 11월 3일 북도면을 시작으로 자월면(11월 5일), 영흥면(11월 7일), 연평면(11월 11일), 덕적면(11월 14일)까지 총 5개 면에서 순차적으로 운영된다.
상담은 법무부 지정 마을변호사가 직접 현장을 방문해 진행한다. 민사, 가사, 세무 등 생활 밀착형 법률문제에 대해 무료 1:1 상담을 제공한다. 사전 신청은 지난 9월 9일부터 10월 16일까지 각 면사무소에서 받았다. 사전 신청을 놓친 주민들도 현장에서 신청 후 상담을 받을 수 있다.
◆ 상반기에 이어 하반기 확대 운영
문경복 옹진군수는 "소통과 현장 중심의 행정을 최우선으로 삼는 신념에 따라 도서 지역 특성상 법률 상담이 쉽지 않은 군민에게 찾아가는 법률 상담 서비스가 꼭 필요했다"며 "앞으로도 군에서 지속 추진 중인 상담실 운영을 포함해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 현장 중심 행정을 실현해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
옹진군은 올해 상반기에도 '찾아가는 무료 법률상담실'을 운영해 군민으로부터 큰 호응을 받았다. 이번 하반기 상담실 운영을 통해 더 많은 주민이 현장에서 법률 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 사업을 확대, 홍보할 계획이다.

Ongjin-gun announced on the 31st that it will operate a 'Visiting Free Legal Consultation Service' to protect the rights of island residents who have difficulty accessing legal services and resolve daily inconveniences. County Governor Moon Gyeong-bok made the announcement.
◆ Sequential Operation in 5 Myeons, On-Site Application Available
Free legal consultations will be operated sequentially in a total of 5 myeons, starting with Bukdo-myeon on November 3, followed by Jawol-myeon (November 5), Yeongheung-myeon (November 7), Yeonpyeong-myeon (November 11), and Deokjeok-myeon (November 14).
Consultations are conducted by village lawyers designated by the Ministry of Justice who visit the sites directly. Free one-on-one consultations are provided on life-related legal issues such as civil, family, and tax matters. Pre-registration was accepted from September 9 to October 16 at each myeon office. Residents who missed pre-registration can also apply on-site and receive consultations.
◆ Expanded Operation in Second Half Following First Half
County Governor Moon Gyeong-bok stated, "In accordance with our belief that prioritizes communication and field-centered administration, a visiting legal consultation service was essential for county residents who find legal consultations difficult due to the characteristics of island regions," adding, "We will continue to realize field-centered administration that county residents can experience, including the continued operation of consultation services promoted by the county."
Ongjin-gun operated the 'Visiting Free Legal Consultation Service' in the first half of this year and received great response from county residents. Through this second-half consultation service operation, the county plans to expand and promote the project so that more residents can use legal services on-site.
