인천시는 27일 인천테크노파크에서 '인천 대학 청년 창업펀드 1·2호' 업무 협약식을 개최했다. 시는 이날 협약을 통해 총 310억 2000만원 규모의 펀드 운영을 시작한다.
시는 인천가톨릭대학교, 인하대학교, 경인여자대학교, 인하공업전문대학, 재능대학교, 한국폴리텍Ⅱ대학, 연세대학교, 청운대학교, 가천대학교 등 관내 9개 대학과 공동으로 15억원을 출자했다. 이 펀드는 대학의 기술과 연구 성과에 자본을 결합해 지역 창업기업을 지원한다.
시는 펀드를 창업 단계별로 2개 조합으로 구성했다. 1호 펀드는 10억 2000만원 규모로 바인벤처스㈜가 운용한다. 바인벤처스는 출자금 전액 5억원을 9개 대학 창업기업에 투자한다.
2호 펀드는 300억원 규모로 ㈜BSK인베스트먼트가 운용한다. BSK인베스트먼트는 인천 대학 창업기업에 10억원 이상을 투자하며, 이 중 1억원 이상을 9개 대학 우수 기업에 집중 투자한다.
시와 인천테크노파크, 각 운용사는 이번 협약을 통해 상호 협력체계를 구축했다. 협약 기관들은 인천 대학 창업기업 의무투자 이행, 우수 창업기업 발굴 및 투자유치 지원, 지역 투자 생태계 활성화에 협력한다.
심순옥 시 창업벤처과장은 "이번 펀드는 초기 창업부터 본격 성장까지 연계 지원하는 성장 사다리가 될 것"이라며 "대학의 아이디어가 지역 경제를 이끄는 혁신기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 지속 가능한 투자 생태계 조성을 위해 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

The agreement organizations will cooperate on implementing mandatory investments in Incheon university startup companies, discovering and supporting investment attraction for excellent startup companies, and activating the regional investment ecosystem.
Shim Soon-ok, Director of the City's Startup and Venture Division, stated, "This fund will serve as a growth ladder that provides linked support from early-stage startups to full-scale growth," adding, "We will provide support to create a sustainable investment ecosystem so that universities' ideas can grow into innovative companies leading the local economy."
