군포시는 10월 18일(토) 초막골생태공원에서 '2025 제11회 군포독서대전'을 개최했다. 6천여 명의 시민이 참여했다.
'숲, 책으로 물들이다'를 슬로건으로 한 이번 행사는 군포올래 행복축제와 통합 개최했다. 6개 공공도서관과 작은도서관, 지역 작가, 문인협회, 관내 중고등학교가 참여했다.
전국 초등학생을 대상으로 한 '제2회 독서골든벨'에서 김선우(곡란초6) 학생이 골든벨상을 받았다. 최우수상은 김시윤(비산초6) 학생이 수상했다. 우수상은 손민서(둔전초5), 김수아(덕천초6) 학생이 받았다. 장려상은 안혜주(능내초5), 허하은(귀인초4), 김현서(당정초5) 학생이 받았다.
군포시는 8월 QR코드 설문으로 '2025 군포독서대전 아이디어 공모전'을 열었다. 250여 명이 참여했다. 시민들은 플리마켓 24건, 독서퀴즈대회 23건, 북토크 20건, 야외도서관 14건, 독서체험 프로그램 12건, 책 전시회 11건, 스탬프 챌린지 9건 등을 제안했다. 시는 이 아이디어를 올해 독서대전 프로그램 구성에 반영했다.
시민 만족도 조사에서 "앞으로 이런 행사가 자주 있었으면 한다", "자연 속에서 책을 만나 행복했다", "가을 분위기와 책이 어울려 행복한 축제였다", "아이들과 함께하기에 의미 있었다"는 의견이 나왔다. 대부분이 '매우 만족'으로 응답했다.
하은호 군포시장은 "시민이 함께 기획한 군포독서대전이 책을 통해 군포의 문화적 품격과 도시 이미지를 높이는 축제로 자리 잡았다"고 밝혔다. 하 시장은 "초막골생태공원의 자연 속에서 책과 사람이 어우러진 지속 가능한 축제로 발전시켜 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Gunpo City held the '2025 11th Gunpo Reading Festival' at Chomakgol Ecological Park on Saturday, October 18. About 6,000 citizens participated.
The event, with the slogan 'Coloring the Forest with Books', integrated with the Gunpo Ollae Happiness Festival. Six public libraries, small libraries, local authors, literary associations, and local middle and high schools participated.
Kim Seon-woo (Gokran Elementary School, 6th grade) won the Golden Bell Award at the '2nd Reading Golden Bell' for elementary students nationwide. Kim Si-yoon (Bisan Elementary School, 6th grade) received the Grand Prize. Son Min-seo (Dunjeon Elementary School, 5th grade) and Kim Su-ah (Deokcheon Elementary School, 6th grade) won Excellence Awards. An Hye-joo (Neungnae Elementary School, 5th grade), Heo Ha-eun (Gwiin Elementary School, 4th grade), and Kim Hyeon-seo (Dangjeong Elementary School, 5th grade) received Encouragement Awards.
Gunpo City held the '2025 Gunpo Reading Festival Ideas Contest' through QR code surveys in August. About 250 people participated. Citizens proposed 24 flea market ideas, 23 reading quiz competitions, 20 book talks, 14 outdoor libraries, 12 reading experience programs, 11 book exhibitions, and 9 stamp challenges. The city reflected these ideas in this year's reading festival program.
The citizen satisfaction survey showed opinions such as "I hope there are more events like this in the future", "I was happy to meet books in nature", "It was a happy festival where the autumn atmosphere and books matched", and "It was meaningful to be with children". Most responded 'very satisfied'.
Mayor Ha Eun-ho said, "The Gunpo Reading Festival, planned together with citizens, established itself as a festival that enhances Gunpo's cultural prestige and city image through books." Mayor Ha stated, "We will develop it into a sustainable festival where books and people come together in the beautiful nature of Chomakgol Ecological Park."
