◆ 64명 중 59명 구속영장 신청...검찰 58명 청구
경찰청은 캄보디아에서 송환된 피의자 64명 중 59명에 대해 구속영장을 신청하고 5명은 석방했다고 20일 밝혔다. 경찰청은 언론 공지를 통해 "체포 피의자 총 63명 중 59명에 대해 구속영장을 신청했고, 4명은 석방했다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "검찰은 59명 중 58명에 대해 구속영장을 청구했고, 1명은 불청구해 석방했다"고 전했다. 경찰은 지난 18일 송환된 피의자 64명에 대해 범죄 혐의를 수사하고 있으며, 이 중 1명은 이미 발부되어 있는 구속영장을 집행했다.
◆ 충남경찰 45명 전원 청구...리딩방·보이스피싱·노쇼사기 혐의
충남경찰청이 신청한 45명 전원에 대해 검찰이 구속영장을 청구했다. 이들은 2024년 말부터 지난 7월까지 리딩방·보이스피싱·노쇼사기 범행에 가담한 혐의를 받고 있다. 경기북부경찰청은 캄보디아 범죄 단지에서 로맨스 스캠에 가담한 혐의를 받는 15명 중 11명에 대해 구속영장을 신청했고 검찰도 11명 전원을 청구했다. 대전경찰청은 2023년 3월 보이스피싱 혐의로 1명에 대해, 경기남부청 김포경찰서는 2024년 10월부터 2025년 6월까지 상품권·조건만남사기 혐의로 1명에 대해 각각 구속영장을 신청했고 검찰도 청구했다.
◆ 5명 석방...서대문서·원주서 각 1명 영장 미신청
서울 서대문경찰서는 지난 7월부터 9월까지 투자 리딩 사기 혐의를 받는 1명에 대해 구속영장을 신청했으나 검찰이 불청구해 석방됐다. 강원 원주경찰서는 지인 간 사기 건으로 송환된 1명에 대해 구속영장을 신청하지 않고 석방했다. 경찰청은 "석방 사유에 대해 구체적으로 밝힐 수 없다"고 밝혔다.

◆ 5 released...Seodaemun and Wonju stations each 1 warrant not applied
The Seoul Seodaemun Police Station applied for an arrest warrant for 1 person suspected of investment leading fraud from July to September, but the prosecution did not request it and was released. The Wonju Police Station in Gangwon released 1 person repatriated for fraud between acquaintances without applying for an arrest warrant. The National Police Agency said, "We cannot specifically disclose the reason for release."
