인천 중구 청소년기자단, 소방의 날 맞아 소방관 인터뷰 현장 사진/인천시 중구
인천중구시설관리공단(이사장 손영식)에서 운영하는 중구청소년수련관은 지난 14일 청소년기자단 10여 명이 영종소방서 운남119안전센터를 방문해 소방관들과 인터뷰를 진행하고 감사 액자를 전달했다고 밝혔다.
이번 활동은 소방의 날을 기념해 소방관들의 노고에 감사를 표하고, 청소년들에게 소방 직업의 중요성을 알리기 위해 기획됐다.
청소년기자단 단원들은 현장 인터뷰를 통해 소방 업무의 의미와 어려움을 직접 들으며, 고충과 열정을 이해하는 시간을 가졌다. 또한, 소방 직업 체험에 참여해 특수 방화복을 착용하고 소방 장비를 다뤄보는 등 소방관의 일상과 임무를 직접 체감했다.
참여한 한 청소년은 “소방관들의 용기와 헌신에 진심으로 감동했다”며 “방화복을 입고 소방관이 된 기분이 정말 특별했다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 수련관 관계자는 “청소년기자단이 지역사회 안전을 책임지는 소방관을 깊이 이해하고, 그 모습을 전하는 중요한 미디어 활동이 됐다”며 “앞으로도 청소년들이 다양한 사회적 이슈를 다루고 지역사회와 소통하는 기회를 제공하겠다”고 전했다. 이번 인터뷰 영상은 오는 11월 9일 소방의 날에 SNS와 블로그를 통해 공개될 예정이다.

Incheon Youth Reporters Honor Firefighters Ahead of Firefighters’ Day
Youth reporters express gratitude through interviews and firefighting experience
The Incheon Jung-gu Youth Reporters visited the Unnam 119 Safety Center of the Yeongjong Fire Station on October 14 to conduct interviews with firefighters and present a plaque of appreciation, the Jung-gu Youth Center announced. The event was held to commemorate Firefighters’ Day and to express gratitude for firefighters’ dedication while raising awareness among youth about the importance of the firefighting profession.
During the visit, the youth reporters listened to firsthand accounts from firefighters about the meaning and challenges of their work. They also participated in hands-on activities, such as wearing special fire-protective gear and handling firefighting equipment, to better understand the responsibility and courage required in their daily missions.
One participant said, “I was truly moved by the firefighters’ bravery and dedication. Wearing the gear and feeling like a firefighter was a special experience.” A representative from the Youth Center said, “This was a meaningful media activity that allowed youth reporters to understand and share the stories of firefighters who keep our community safe.” The interview video will be released on November 9, Firefighters’ Day, through the center’s social media channels and blog.
