김정헌 인천 중구청장은 지난 16일 ‘중구 하늘누리센터’ 공사 현장을 방문해 추진 현황을 점검했다. 김 구청장은 관계 공무원들과 함께 시설 곳곳을 둘러보며 건립 경과와 공사 진행 상황을 보고받고, 현장 관계자들을 격려하며 안전 시공을 당부했다.
하늘누리센터는 영종국제도시 운서중학교 부지 일부를 활용해 지하 1층, 지상 4층, 연면적 5,635㎡ 규모로 건립 중이다. 내부에는 다함께돌봄센터, 작은 도서관, 가족센터, 육아종합지원센터, (가칭)복합문화센터 등 주민 생활 서비스 시설이 들어설 예정이다.
중구는 올해 12월 건립 공사를 완료하고 내년 상반기 개관을 목표로 한다. 김정헌 구청장은 “하늘누리센터가 지역사회와 소통하며 상생하는 공간으로 거듭나길 기대한다”며 “주민들이 교육·문화·복지 서비스를 한 장소에서 편리하게 이용할 수 있어 생활 편의와 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 것”이라고 말했다.

Kim Jeong-heon, Mayor of Incheon Jung-gu, visited the construction site of the ‘Haneulnuri Center’ on October 16 to inspect progress. He toured the facility with officials, reviewed the project status, and encouraged onsite personnel while emphasizing safe construction practices.
The Haneulnuri Center is being built on part of the Woonseo Middle School site in Yeongjong International City. It will have one basement level, four above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 5,635㎡. The center will include a childcare center, small library, family center, comprehensive childcare support center, and a planned cultural complex.
Jung-gu plans to complete construction by December this year and open the center in the first half of next year. Mayor Kim said, “We expect the Haneulnuri Center to become a space that communicates and grows with the local community. Residents will be able to conveniently access education, cultural, and welfare services in one place, improving convenience and quality of life.”
