◆ 4개 시설 200명 대상 식품안전교육

경기도는 9월 15일부터 10월 15일까지 위캔센터, 광명장애인보호작업장, 안양시수리장애인보호작업장, 솔빛터 등 4개 장애인직업재활시설 이용장애인과 종사자 약 200명을 대상으로 식품안전교육을 실시했다. 도내 장애인직업재활시설 193개소 중 커피와 베이커리 등 식품제조 부문은 약 21%(40개소)를 차지한다. 도는 보건환경연구원 식품의약품연구부 보건연구사가 직접 강사로 참여해 개인위생 실습, 식품안전 및 식중독 예방 교육 등을 체험형 교육으로 진행했다.

◆ ISO45001 인증 178개소

경기도는 장애인직업재활시설 178개소가 국제표준인 안전보건경영시스템(ISO45001)을 인증받았다. 도는 이번 교육을 통해 식품안전에 대한 실질적 역량을 높여 장애인 근로자들의 건강과 안전을 지켜나갈 계획이다.

◆ "안전한 근로환경 조성하겠다"

김연섭 경기도 장애인자립지원과장은 "이번 교육을 통해 장애인직업재활시설 식품 제조 분야의 위생과 안전관리가 한층 강화돼 장애인 근로자들이 안심하고 일할 수 있는 환경이 조성될 것"이라고 말했다. 김 과장은 "현장 중심의 안전보건교육도 지속적으로 추진하고 장애인 일자리 창출 및 노동환경 개선을 위해 노력하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

Gyeonggi Province conducted food safety education for about 200 people including users with disabilities and workers at 4 vocational rehabilitation facilities for people with disabilities such as WeCan Center, Gwangmyeong Sheltered Workshop for People with Disabilities, Anyang Suri Sheltered Workshop for People with Disabilities, and Solbiteo from September 15 to October 15. Food manufacturing sectors such as coffee and bakery account for about 21% (40 facilities) of the 193 vocational rehabilitation facilities for people with disabilities in the province. The province conducted experiential education including personal hygiene practice, food safety and food poisoning prevention education with health researchers from the Food and Drug Research Department of the Health and Environment Research Institute participating directly as instructors.

◆ 178 Facilities ISO45001 Certified

Gyeonggi Province has 178 vocational rehabilitation facilities for people with disabilities certified in the international standard Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001). The province plans to enhance practical capabilities in food safety through this education and protect the health and safety of workers with disabilities more firmly.

◆ "Will Create Safe Working Environment"

Kim Yeon-seop, Director of Gyeonggi Province's Support for Independence of People with Disabilities Division, said, "Through this education, hygiene and safety management in the food manufacturing sector of vocational rehabilitation facilities for people with disabilities will be further strengthened, creating an environment where workers with disabilities can work with peace of mind." Director Kim added, "We will continue to promote field-centered occupational health and safety education and make efforts to create jobs for people with disabilities and improve the working environment."
