◆ 강화군, 겨울방학 맞아 자연사박물관 교육 프로그램 운영

강화군(군수 박용철)은 겨울방학을 맞아 강화자연사박물관에서 교육 프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다. '숨겨진 자연사박물관 공간을 찾아라'는 학예연구사와 함께하는 수장고 탐방 프로그램이다. 박물관은 10년간 수집한 9,700여 점의 표본을 수장고에서 관람할 수 있도록 구성했다.

◆ 수장고 개관 이래 최초 공개…표본 실측·카드 작성 체험

교육 참여자는 조류와 동물 표본을 관찰하고 실측한다. 직접 표본 카드를 작성하고 수장고에서 표본 보관 관리 방법을 체험할 수 있다. 수장고는 박물관 개관 이래 최초로 일반인에게 공개된다. 박물관은 참가자에게 숨겨진 공간 탐험과 새로운 경험을 제공할 계획이다. 교육은 1월 24일(토)과 2월 7일(토) 2회 진행된다. 접수는 1월 13일(화) 오전 10시부터 선착순으로 받는다. 자세한 사항은 박물관 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있다.

◆ 라이브스케치 체험 공간 운영…군수 "자연 생태계 체험 공간 될 것"

박물관 2층에서는 '라이브스케치' 체험이 가능하다. 참여자가 그린 그림이 대형 미디어아트로 표출된다. 강화에서 발견되는 상괭이, 점박이물범 등 7종 생물을 직접 색칠하면 미디어아트로 나타난다. 라이브스케치 체험은 누구나 참여 가능하며 휠체어 사용자도 이용할 수 있도록 구축했다. 박용철 강화군수는 "강화자연사박물관은 2025년 미디어아트와 라이브스케치 공간을 조성하는 등 아동·청소년 대상 전시와 교육 사업을 지속 추진했다"며 "앞으로도 지역민과 함께 자연 생태계를 체험하고 공부할 수 있는 공간이 되도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

Education sessions take place twice on January 24 (Saturday) and February 7 (Saturday). Registration begins on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 AM on January 13 (Tuesday). Live sketch experience is available on the 2nd floor of the museum. Drawings made by participants are displayed as large-scale media art. When participants color 7 species found in Ganghwa, including finless porpoises and spotted seals, they appear as media art. Anyone can participate in the live sketch experience, and the facility is accessible for wheelchair users. Park Yong-cheol, Ganghwa County Governor, said, "Ganghwa Natural History Museum has continuously pursued exhibition and education projects for children and youth, including creating media art and live sketch spaces in 2025." He added, "We will continue to work to make this a space where local residents can experience and study the natural ecosystem together."
