6일 인천선거관리위원회 선거통계시스템 분석 결과 4개 구의 정치 성향이 뚜렷하게 갈렸다. 제물포구(중구 내륙+동구)는 보수 성향이 강하다. 지난해 제21대 대선에서 민주당 이재명 후보가 47.02%를 득표했으나 국민의힘 김문수 후보(45.43%)와 개혁신당 이준석 후보(6.36%)의 합산 득표율은 51.79%에 달했다.
영종구와 검단구는 신도시 조성으로 젊은 층 유입이 많아 진보 성향이 뚜렷하다. 제21대 대선에서 영종구는 민주당이 52.85%, 검단구는 55.15%로 과반을 넘겼다. 서해구도 청라국제도시와 루원시티 등 신도시 영향으로 민주당이 51.55%를 득표했다. 정가 관계자는 "과거 선거 기록을 분석한 결과일 뿐 5개월 뒤 선거 결과는 각종 변수에 따라 달라질 수 있다"고 밝혔다.
