인천광역시(시장 유정복)는 시민의 겨울철 체육활동 편의를 높이기 위해 12월 19일부터 ‘2025~2026시즌 인천아시아드 스케이트장’을 공식 운영한다고 밝혔다.

운영 기간은 2025년 12월 19일부터 2026년 2월 18일까지 62일간이며, 개장 첫날인 19일에는 시민 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있다.

그동안 인천 남부권은 선학국제빙상경기장에서 상시 이용이 가능했지만, 북부권은 겨울철 체육시설이 부족했다. 인천시는 시민이 도심 속에서 겨울 스포츠를 즐길 수 있도록 올해 처음으로 인천아시아드 스케이트장을 조성했다.

스케이트장은 인천아시아드주경기장 남측광장(3,600㎡)에 설치됐다. 성인링크장과 어린이링크장, 이벤트링크장 등 3개 링크장으로 구성되며, 경기장 인근 영화관·카페 등 문화시설과 연계해 겨울 스포츠와 여가를 함께 즐길 수 있는 복합 체험 공간으로 운영된다.

운영시간은 월요일부터 목요일, 일요일까지 오전 10시부터 오후 6시 30분이며, 금요일·토요일·공휴일은 오후 8시까지 연장된다. 만 5세 이상이면 누구나 1시간 2,000원으로 이용할 수 있다. 이벤트링크장에서는 아이스범퍼카(1회 2,000원)와 썰매 등 체험 프로그램이 운영된다.

유정복 인천시장은 “인천아시아드 스케이트장을 시민에게 드리는 크리스마스 선물 같은 공간으로 준비했다”며 “도심 속에서 겨울 스포츠를 즐기며 시민 생활체육이 활성화되고 인천의 ‘체육드림’이 실현되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Incheon to Open “Asiad Ice Rink” on December 19
Three Rinks Operated for 62 Days; Free Access on Opening Day

The Incheon Metropolitan Government (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) announced that it will officially open the “2025–2026 Asiad Ice Rink” on December 19 to promote winter sports and recreational activities for citizens.

The ice rink will operate for 62 days, from December 19, 2025, to February 18, 2026. All citizens will have free access on the opening day.

While southern Incheon has the Sunhak International Ice Rink for year-round use, the northern area has lacked winter sports facilities. To address this gap, the city has built the new Asiad Ice Rink at the main plaza of Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, covering 3,600 square meters.

The rink consists of three sections—an adult rink, a children’s rink, and an event rink—and is located near cultural facilities such as a movie theater and cafés, offering an integrated space for sports and leisure.

Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and Sundays, and extended until 8 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. Admission is 2,000 KRW per hour for visitors aged five and older. The event rink offers additional attractions such as ice bumper cars (2,000 KRW per ride) and sledding programs.

Mayor Yoo said, “We prepared the Asiad Ice Rink as a special gift for citizens this winter. I hope it becomes a place where residents can fully enjoy winter sports and further expand Incheon’s vision for citizen-driven sports participation.”
