인천시립교향악단이 2026년 시즌 프로그램을 공개했다. 최수열 제9대 예술감독과 함께 'we play innovation!'을 슬로건으로 내세워 2026년 1월부터 12월까지 정기연주회를 개촤한다. 1966년 창단 이후 60주년을 맞은 인천시향은 네 개의 핵심 시리즈를 중심으로 기획연주회를 강화했다. '동시대 음악과 희귀 레퍼토리를 소개하는 Adventurous IPO', '말러 교향곡 전곡에 도전하는 IPO Mahler Project', '작곡가의 마지막 교향곡을 탐구하는 IPO Last Symphonies', '매년 가을 브람스 전곡을 선보이는 Brahms in Autumn' 등이 본격적으로 펼쳐진다. 바이올리니스트 이수빈이 2026년 올해의 예술가로 선정되어 3월과 6월 정기연주회 외 다양한 무대에 출연한다.
◆ 1월 새해음악회로 시작, 월별 대형 프로젝트 진행
1월 새해음악회는 슈트라우스의 '봄의 소리 왈츠', 한국 가곡(바리톤 강형규 출연), 드보르자크 '교향곡 9번 신세계로부터'로 구성된다. 3월에는 올해의 예술가 이수빈이 협연하는 차이콥스키 '바이올린 협주곡'과 윤이상의 '예약'(1966년 초연), 스트라빈스키 '봄의 제전'을 선보인다. 말러 전곡 연주 프로젝트는 4월 '대지의 노래', 9월 '교향곡 8번 천인교향곡'(국내 최고 성악가 8인, 대규모 합창 참여), 12월 '교향곡 7번'으로 진행되며 모두 인천시향 역사상 처음 연주하는 작품이다. 6월에는 토마스 아데스 '템페스트 서곡'(아시아 초연), 이수빈이 연주하는 시마노프스키 '바이올린 협주곡 2번'(한국 초연), 차이콥스키 '교향곡 6번 비창'을 무대에 올린다. 5월에는 피아니스트 이경숙의 멘델스존 '피아노 협주곡 2번' 협연과 드보르자크 '교향곡 7번'을 선보이고, 7월에는 지휘자 김대진이 모차르트 '피아노 협주곡 23번'을 직접 연주·지휘하며 시벨리우스 '교향곡 2번'을 진행한다. 10월에는 브람스 전곡 프로젝트의 첫 공연으로 '교향곡 3번'과 '피아노 협주곡 2번'을 연주하고, 윤이상국제음악콩쿠르 2025 우승자 첼리스트 이유빈이 하이든 '첼로 협주곡 1번'으로 인천 데뷔 무대를 갖는다. 10월 버르토크 공연에서는 부지휘자 정한결이 '오케스트라를 위한 협주곡'을 지휘한다. 11월에는 독일의 바이올리니스트 크리스토프 포펜이 인천시향과 첫 협연으로 베토벤 작품을 선보인다.
◆ 1월부터 기획연주회 추진, 12월 15일 유료회원 선예매
인천시향은 1월 '실내악 콘서트'(8대 첼로 공연), 2월 '2026 인천 영 아티스트 콘서트'(바이올린 신승경, 더블베이스 김예은, 오보에 김다인 출연)를 개최한다. 3월, 6월, 10월, 12월에는 '과정음악회'를 신설해 오픈 리허설 형식으로 제작 과정을 공유한다. 2026년 시즌 공연 예매는 인천문화예술회관 홈페이지, 엔티켓, 놀티켓에서 전석 1만원으로 진행된다. 예매 일정은 2025년 12월 15일 오전 10시 유료회원 선예매, 12월 17일 오후 3시 일반예매 순으로 시작된다.

Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra announced its 2026 season program. Under Chief Conductor Min-soo Choi, the orchestra adopts the slogan 'We Play Innovation!' and structured regular concerts from January through December 2026. Marking its 60th anniversary since founding in 1966, Incheon Philharmonic builds its concert season around four core series with enhanced special performances. The series include "Adventurous IPO" introducing contemporary music and rare repertoire, "IPO Mahler Project" featuring complete Mahler symphonies, "IPO Last Symphonies" exploring composers' final symphonies, and "Brahms in Autumn" presenting complete Brahms works each fall. Violinist Lee Soo-bin was selected as Artist of the Year for 2026 and will appear at the March and June regular concerts and various other performances.
◆ Season Opens with January New Year Concert, Major Projects Continue Through Year
The January New Year Concert features Strauss' "Tales from the Vienna Woods," Korean art songs (baritone Kang Hyung-gyu), and Dvorak's "Symphony No. 9 From the New World." March performances include Tchaikovsky's "Violin Concerto" with guest artist Lee Soo-bin, Yun I-sang's "Réserve" (world premiered in 1966), and Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring." The Mahler complete symphonies project proceeds with April's "Das Lied von der Erde," September's "Symphony No. 8 Symphony of a Thousand" (featuring eight leading Korean vocalists and large chorus), and December's "Symphony No. 7"—all works being performed by Incheon Philharmonic for the first time. June features Thomas Adès' "Tempest Overture" (Asian premiere), Szymanowski's "Violin Concerto No. 2" (Korean premiere) performed by Lee Soo-bin, and Tchaikovsky's "Symphony No. 6 Pathétique." May presents pianist Lee Kyung-sook performing Mendelssohn's "Piano Concerto No. 2" and Dvorak's "Symphony No. 7." Conductor Jeong Han-gyeol leads the October Bartók performance of "Concerto for Orchestra." November brings German violinist and conductor Christoph Poppen in his first collaboration with Incheon Philharmonic, presenting works by Beethoven.
◆ Special Performances Begin January, Advance Ticket Sales Start December 15
Incheon Philharmonic presents the January "Chamber Music Concert" (eight cellos) and February "2026 Incheon Young Artists Concert" featuring violinist Shin Seung-kyung, double bassist Kim Ye-eun, and oboist Kim Da-in. "Process Concerts" debut in March, June, October, and December, sharing production processes in open rehearsal format. All 2026 season performances are available for 10,000 won per ticket through the Incheon Culture and Arts Center website, Interpark, and Nolti Ticket. Advance ticket sales begin December 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for paid members, with general admission sales commencing December 17 at 3:00 p.m.
