시흥시의회는 다문화 도시라는 지역적 특성을 고려해 영상에 중국어와 베트남어 자막을 함께 제공한다. 모든 시민이 소외되지 않고 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있도록 배려했다. 지역 제한 없이 누구나 참여 가능하며, 참여자 중 추첨을 통해 선정된 당첨자에게는 모바일 쿠폰을 제공한다.
◆ 참여 방법과 시상 일정
시민은 시흥시의회 공식 유튜브 채널을 구독한 후 영상에 좋아요를 누르고 댓글로 자신의 소원을 작성하면 된다. 영상 설명란이나 댓글에 게시된 방법을 통해 참여 인증을 완료하면 응모가 완료된다. 당첨자는 12월 24일에 발표된다. 오인열 의장은 "시민들의 소원을 모두 실현하기는 어렵지만 의정활동에 적극 반영하기 위해 이번 이벤트를 기획했으며, 향후 다양한 플랫폼을 통해 시민과 지속적으로 소통하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
