◆ 경기도미래세대재단 성과공유회 개최

경기도미래세대재단이 6일 팔달구 옛 경기도청사에서 '경계선지능인 청년 일 역량강화 지원사업 성과공유회'를 열었다. 재단은 올해 6월부터 도내 경계선지능 청년 76명을 선발해 3단계 전문교육 프로그램을 운영했다. 진로 컨설팅에서 출발해 일반소양·전공직무 교육을 거쳐 일 경험 연계와 그룹코칭으로 이어지는 원스톱 체계다. 경기도가 경계선지능 청년 대상 일·진로 지원사업을 처음 추진했다.

◆ 76명 중 67명 전 과정 이수

참가 청년 76명 가운데 67명이 모든 과정을 마쳐 이수율은 88.2%에 달했다. 1단계 진로 컨설팅에서 전원이 진로 적성 검사와 1:1 상담을 통해 개인별 진로 목표와 학습 계획을 수립했다. 2단계 일반소양·전공직무 교육은 신한대학교(고양), 강남대학교(용인), 주식회사 스마트소셜(성남)이 담당했다. 교육 내용은 의사소통·직장 예절·문해력 기본소양과 IT·사무·조리·유통 등 전공직무로 구성했다. 3단계 일 경험은 민간기업과 협동조합 20여 개 기관과 연계했다. 매칭 대상은 사무보조·상품 포장·행정지원·매장 운영 보조 등 실제 직무였다.

◆ "자신감 얻고 새로운 적성 발견"

참가자는 현장 적응과 직무 학습 과정에서 얻은 변화를 밝혔다. 한 참가자는 "업무 적응과 대인관계 형성에 어려움을 겪었으나 실무교육과 화법 교육을 통해 자신감을 획득했다"고 말했다. 또 "직무탐색으로 미처 알지 못한 새로운 적성을 찾아냈고 배우고 싶은 목표가 늘었다"고 덧붙였다. 김현삼 경기도미래세대재단 대표이사는 "경계선지능 청년 정책의 첫 출발점"이라며 "당사자가 자신의 속도로 사회 진입을 준비할 기반을 마련했다"고 평가했다. 이날 행사에는 경기도의회 김동희 부위원장, 사업 참여 청년, 수행기관 관계자, 전국느린학습자 부모연대 등 80여 명이 참석했다.

◆ Gyeonggi Future Generation Foundation Holds Results Sharing Conference

The Gyeonggi Future Generation Foundation held a 'Job Competency Enhancement Support Project Results Sharing Conference for Youth with Borderline Intelligence' at the former Gyeonggi Provincial Government building in Paldal-gu on the 6th. The foundation selected 76 youth with borderline intelligence from the province starting in June this year and operated a three-stage professional education program. The program follows a one-stop system beginning with career counseling, progressing through general competency and major professional training, and concluding with work experience linkage and group coaching. Gyeonggi Province launched this job and career support project for youth with borderline intelligence for the first time.

◆ 67 of 76 Participants Complete All Courses

Among 76 participating youth, 67 completed all courses, achieving a completion rate of 88.2%. In the first stage of career counseling, all participants established individual career goals and learning plans through career aptitude assessments and one-on-one consultations. The second stage of general competency and major professional training was administered by Shinhan University (Goyang), Kangnam University (Yongin), and Smart Social Co., Ltd. (Seongnam). Educational content comprised basic competencies such as communication, workplace etiquette, and literacy, along with major professional training in IT, administration, culinary arts, and distribution. The third stage of work experience connected participants with approximately 20 private companies and cooperatives. Matched positions included actual duties such as administrative assistance, product packaging, administrative support, and store operations assistance.

◆ "Gained Confidence and Discovered New Aptitudes"

Participants shared changes they experienced during their workplace adaptation and professional training process. One participant stated, "I faced difficulties in workplace adaptation and interpersonal relationship formation, but gained confidence through practical administrative training and communication instruction." The participant added, "Through job exploration, I discovered new aptitudes I had not previously recognized and developed more goals to pursue and learn." Kim Hyun-sam, President and Representative of the Gyeonggi Future Generation Foundation, evaluated it as "the first starting point of borderline intelligence youth policy" and stated, "We have established a foundation enabling individuals to prepare for social entry at their own pace." The event was attended by approximately 80 people, including Deputy Chairman Kim Dong-hee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, participating youth, executing organization officials, and representatives of the National Slow Learners' Parents Coalition.
