◆ 2026년 국비 20조 8,923억 원 확보
경기도가 2026년도 예산으로 국비 20조 8,923억 원을 확보했다. 경기도는 지난 2일 밤 국회 본회의에서 의결된 2026년도 예산안을 분석해 이같이 밝혔다. 올해 19조 1,412억 원보다 1조 7,511억 원(9.1%) 늘어난 규모다. 경기도 국비가 20조 원을 돌파한 것은 역대 최초다.
◆ 복지·교통 분야 예산 대폭 증가
복지 분야 예산이 전년 대비 1조 6,170억 원 증가해 15조 3,496억 원을 기록했다. 생계급여 1조 6,991억 원, 영유아보육료 1조 2,690억 원, 아동수당 7,653억 원 등이 대표 사업이다. 철도·광역교통 분야도 대폭 반영됐다. 도봉산옥정 광역철도 468억 원, 인덕원동탄 복선전철 4,663억 원, 신안산선 복선전철 2,350억 원, 계양~강화 고속도로 3,131억 원이 포함됐다.
김동연 경기도지사가 지속 요청한 사업도 반영됐다. 2026년 직매립금지 대비 소각시설 설치 98억 원, 광역버스 준공영제 138억 원, 안산 세월호 추모시설 지원 10억 원, 용인 반도체클러스터 일반산단 공동구 구축 500억 원 등이다. 임산부 친환경 농산물 꾸러미 사업은 경기도가 건의해 전국 기준 158억 원 예산을 확보했다.
◆ 도지사 직접 나서 국비 확보 총력
경기도는 지난 7월 경기도 지역구 국회의원 보좌진 대상 '2026년 경기도 주요 국비사업 설명회'를 개최하며 국비 확보 활동을 시작했다. 김성중 행정1부지사와 김대순 행정2부지사가 국회를 방문해 주요 사업 국비 반영을 요청했다. 김동연 지사는 지난달 17일 한병도 예산결산특별위원장을 직접 찾아 경기도 현안 사업 필요성과 시급성을 설명했다.
김동연 지사는 "국정의 제1동반자로서 도민의 삶을 바꾸는 소중한 사업들이 흔들림 없이 추진되고 이번에 확보된 예산이 효과적으로 쓰이도록 하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Secures 20.8923 trillion won in national budget for 2026
Gyeonggi Province secured 20.8923 trillion won in national budget for 2026. The province announced this after analyzing the 2026 budget passed at the National Assembly plenary session on the night of December 2. This represents an increase of 1.7511 trillion won (9.1%) from this year's 19.1412 trillion won. This marks the first time Gyeonggi Province's national budget exceeded 20 trillion won.
◆ Welfare and transportation budgets increase significantly
The welfare sector budget increased by 1.617 trillion won year-on-year to reach 15.3496 trillion won. Key programs include 1.6991 trillion won for livelihood benefits, 1.269 trillion won for infant and toddler childcare fees, and 765.3 billion won for child allowances. The railway and metropolitan transportation sector also received substantial allocations. These include 46.8 billion won for Dobongsan-Okjeong metropolitan railway, 466.3 billion won for Indeokwon-Dongtan double-track railway, 235 billion won for Shin-Ansan Line double-track railway, and 313.1 billion won for Gyeyang-Ganghwa expressway.
Projects continuously requested by Governor Kim Dong-yeon were also reflected. These include 9.8 billion won for incineration facility installation ahead of the 2026 direct landfill ban, 13.8 billion won for metropolitan bus quasi-public operation system, 1 billion won for Ansan Sewol Ferry memorial facility support, and 50 billion won for Yongin Semiconductor Cluster industrial complex utility tunnel construction. The eco-friendly agricultural product package program for pregnant women, proposed by Gyeonggi Province, secured 15.8 billion won nationwide.
◆ Governor leads all-out effort to secure national budget
Gyeonggi Province began its budget securing activities in July by holding a briefing session on major 2026 national budget projects for aides of National Assembly members from Gyeonggi constituencies. Vice Governors Kim Sung-joong and Kim Dae-soon visited the National Assembly to request national budget allocation for major projects. Governor Kim Dong-yeon personally met with Han Byung-do, Chairman of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, on November 17 to explain the necessity and urgency of Gyeonggi Province's pending projects.
Governor Kim said, "As the nation's primary partner, we will ensure that valuable projects that change residents' lives are steadily promoted and that the budget secured this time is used effectively."
