◆ 한국마사회 감사실 창립 이래 최초 수상
한국투명성기구(공동대표 이상학·퇴휴·유한범)는 3일 제25회 '투명사회상' 수상자로 한국마사회 감사실(상임감사위원 윤병현)을 선정했다고 발표했다. 한국마사회 감사실은 기관 창립 이래 최초로 투명사회상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다. 이번 발표는 UN 세계 반부패의 날(12월 9일)을 앞두고 이뤄졌다.
◆ 청렴도 평가 2년 연속 우수 등급
한국마사회 감사실은 건전한 경마문화 조성과 반부패 청렴문화 확산을 위해 조직 구성원 대상 특별 청렴교육을 실시했다. 경마고객 대상 '마음만 받겠습니다' 캠페인도 시행했다. 국민권익위원회 주관 청렴도 평가에서 최근 2년(2023년, 2024년) 연속 우수 등급을 획득하는 등 공정하고 투명한 조직 문화를 정착시킨 공로를 인정받아 수상자로 선정됐다. 올해 투명사회상은 실천내용의 타당성과 사회적 공감도, 반부패 노력의 지속성, 반부패 실천의 영향력과 효과, 반부패 실천에 따른 고난 및 극복 등을 선정기준으로 수상자를 선정했다.
◆ 윤병현 상임감사위원 "반부패 청렴문화 안착에 힘쓰겠다"
투명사회상은 독일 베를린에 본부를 둔 국제투명성기구(TI)의 한국본부인 한국투명성기구가 시상한다. 투명사회를 위해 노력한 개인, 공공기관, 시민사회단체, 기업, 공직자, 공익제보자, 언론 등을 대상으로 수여한다. 2001년 반부패상과 청백리상이라는 이름으로 시작해 올해 25회를 맞이했다. 윤병현 한국마사회 상임감사위원은 "이번 투명사회상 수상은 모든 임직원이 공정하고 투명한 조직을 만들겠다는 신념으로 꾸준히 노력한 결과"라며 "국민에게 신뢰받는 청렴한 공공기관으로 자리매김하기 위해 경주해 온 노력의 결실"이라고 말했다. 윤 상임감사위원은 "앞으로도 지속적인 윤리 경영 혁신을 통해 반부패 청렴문화가 조직 내에 뿌리 깊게 안착할 수 있도록 더욱 힘쓰겠다"고 밝혔다.

Transparency International Korea (Co-representatives Lee Sang-hak, Toehu, and Yoo Han-beom) announced on December 3 that it selected the Korea Racing Authority Audit Office (Standing Audit Committee Member Yoon Byung-hyun) as the recipient of the 25th 'Transparent Society Award.' The Korea Racing Authority Audit Office received the honor of winning the Transparent Society Award for the first time since the organization's establishment. This announcement was made ahead of UN International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9).
◆ Excellent Grade in Integrity Assessment for 2 Consecutive Years
The Korea Racing Authority Audit Office conducted special integrity education for organization members to create a healthy horse racing culture and spread anti-corruption integrity culture. It also implemented the 'We Only Accept Your Heart' campaign for horse racing customers. The office was selected as the award recipient in recognition of its contribution to establishing a fair and transparent organizational culture, including receiving excellent grades for two consecutive years (2023, 2024) in the integrity assessment conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. This year's Transparent Society Award selected recipients based on criteria including validity and social consensus of implementation, continuity of anti-corruption efforts, influence and effectiveness of anti-corruption practices, and hardships and overcoming challenges in anti-corruption practices.

The Transparent Society Award is presented by Transparency International Korea, the Korean chapter of Transparency International (TI) headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The award is given to individuals, public institutions, civil society organizations, businesses, public officials, whistleblowers, and media who have worked for a transparent society. It started in 2001 under the names Anti-Corruption Award and Cheongbaekri Award and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Yoon Byung-hyun, Standing Audit Committee Member of Korea Racing Authority, said, "This Transparent Society Award is the result of all executives and employees steadily working with the belief to create a fair and transparent organization," and "It is the fruit of efforts to establish ourselves as a clean public institution trusted by the people." Standing Audit Committee Member Yoon added, "We will continue to work harder to ensure that the anti-corruption integrity culture takes deep root within the organization through continuous ethical management innovation."
