◆ 서울시의원 등 3명 뇌물수수 혐의로 구속
교육 기자재 등의 납품 편의를 제공하는 대가로 뇌물을 수수한 혐의를 받은 서울시 A의원 등이 구속됐다. 경기남부경찰청 반부패·경제범죄수사대는 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률상 뇌물수수 혐의로 서울시의원 A씨 등 3명을 구속했다고 25일 밝혔다.
A씨는 2022년 말부터 1년여 동안 서울 지역의 교육 기자재 등의 납품 편의를 봐주고 사업을 수주할 수 있게 해주는 대가로 업체 여러 곳으로부터 4억여 원을 받은 혐의를 받는다.
◆ 브로커 2명, A씨와 업체 간 중개 역할
함께 구속된 브로커 2명은 A씨와 업체 간 중개를 맡았던 것으로 조사됐다. 경찰은 관련 업체 측에 대해서도 뇌물 공여 혐의로 입건해 조사 중이다.
경찰 관계자는 "의원 측에서 편의를 봐주는 대가로 리베이트를 요구했으며 업체들을 상대로도 수사를 진행 중"이라고 말했다.

◆ Two Brokers Mediated Between A and Companies
The two brokers arrested together were found to have mediated between A and the companies. Police have also booked the related companies on charges of offering bribes and are investigating.
A police official said, "The councilor demanded kickbacks in exchange for providing convenience, and investigations are underway against the companies as well."
