◆ 1500 명 모여 철도 지하화 촉구 결의대회

군포시 철도지하화 범시민추진위원회는 15일 오후 4시 산본로데오거리 원형광장 특설무대에서 '군포시 6개역 지하화 촉구 제2차 시민결의대회'를 열었다. 금정역과 군포역, 산본역, 수리산역, 대야미역, 당정역 등 군포시 지상 6개 전철역 지하화를 열망하는 1500명 추정 군포시민이 참석했다. 시민들은 정부가 다음 달 발표하는 철도지하화 종합계획에 군포지역 전철역을 반드시 포함시켜줄 것을 한목소리로 촉구했다.

◆ "철도 지하화, 군포 획기적 발전 계기 될 것"

하은호 군포시장은 "철도 지하화는 군포시의 획기적인 발전 계기가 될 것"이라며 "시민들이 적극적으로 지하화 서명운동에 동참해달라"고 당부했다. 김귀근 군포시의회 의장은 "정부가 추진하는 철도지하화 종합계획에 군포시 6개역 모두가 포함되도록 의회 차원에서도 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 밝혔다. 이학영 국회 부의장은 "국토교통부가 정책적으로 철도 지하화를 추진하고 있는 바 군포시 구간이 종합계획에 반영되도록 지속적으로 정부에 촉구하고 있다"고 강조했다. 정윤경 경기도의회 부의장은 "경기도와 경기도의회 차원에서 군포시 6개역이 반드시 포함되도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ 26만 서명 25일 국토부 접수 예정

범시민추진위원회는 2012년부터 군포지역 전철역 지하화를 중앙정부에 요청해왔다. 2022년 11월 재개발연합회와 재건축연합회, 리모델링연합회, 아파트연합회 중심으로 지하화추진위를 공식 결성했다. 2024년 1월 국회에서 철도지하화 통합개발 특별법이 제정됐다. 군포시는 2024년 10월 전문기관 용역을 거쳐 올해 5월 국토교통부에 군포 구간 6개역 통합개발 계획을 접수했다. 범추위는 10월 18일 시민체육광장에서 제1차 지하화 시민결의대회를 개최했다. 군포지역 기관단체장 545명의 청원서를 10월 말 국토교통부에 1차로 접수했다. 범추위는 26만 서명운동을 23일까지 진행하고 25일경 국토교통부에 서명부를 접수할 예정이다.

Gunpo City Council Chairman Kim Gwi-geun said, "We will spare no support at the council level to ensure all six Gunpo stations are included in the railroad undergrounding master plan the government is pursuing." National Assembly Vice Speaker Lee Hak-young emphasized, "As the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is pursuing railroad undergrounding as policy, we are continuously urging the government to include the Gunpo section in the master plan." Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Vice Speaker Jeong Yun-kyung said, "We will do our best at the Gyeonggi Province and Provincial Assembly levels to ensure Gunpo's six stations are included."

◆ 260,000 Signatures to Be Submitted to Ministry of Land on 25th

The Pan-Citizen Promotion Committee has been requesting railroad undergrounding for Gunpo's subway stations from the central government since 2012. In November 2022, the undergrounding promotion committee was officially formed centered on the redevelopment union, reconstruction union, remodeling union, and apartment union. In January 2024, the Railroad Undergrounding Integrated Development Special Act was enacted by the National Assembly. Gunpo City submitted the integrated development plan for six stations in the Gunpo section to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in May this year after commissioning a specialized agency in October 2024. The committee held the 1st Railroad Undergrounding Citizens' Rally at the Citizens' Sports Plaza on October 18. A petition from 545 institutional and organizational leaders in the Gunpo area was submitted to the Ministry of Land at the end of October as the first submission. The committee will conduct the 260,000 signature campaign until the 23rd and submit the signatures to the Ministry of Land around the 25th.
