인천광역시가 11월 1일 오후 4시 30분 시청 애뜰광장 분수대 앞에서 시민과 함께하는 '2025 성탄트리 점등식 및 시민문화축제'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 인천기독교총연합회(총회장 정일량 목사)가 주최하고 인천시가 후원한다. 단순한 종교행사를 넘어 모든 시민이 함께 즐길 수 있는 열린 문화축제로 기획됐다. 종교계 인사와 일반 시민이 함께 모여 도심 속을 밝히는 따뜻한 시간을 보내며, 한 해를 마무리하고 희망과 감사의 메시지를 나누는 시민 참여형 축제다.
식전공연에서는 어린이 율동단의 무대, 피아노 5중주, 혼성콰이어 공연이 이어진다. 본행사에서는 성탄 감사주차장 개방 등 지역사회 나눔 활동에 앞장선 교회들을 격려하는 시간도 마련된다. 행사의 하이라이트인 성탄트리 점등식은 초아유스콰이어의 축하공연 속에 진행된다.
인천시는 가족, 연인, 친구, 이웃이 함께 도심 속 따뜻한 연말 분위기를 나눌 수 있도록 다채로운 연계행사를 이어간다. 11월 8일에는 송도가나안교회에서 9개 교회 합창단이 참여하는 성가대 합창제가 열린다. 또한 11월 27일부터 29일까지 애관극장에서는 '제1회 인천가족영상제'가 개최된다. 가족 관계 회복을 주제로 한 12편의 작품이 상영되고 AI 영화 특강도 함께 진행된다. 윤도영 시 문화체육국장은 "성탄트리 점등식은 종교의 경계를 넘어 시민 모두가 희망을 나누는 상징적인 행사"라며 "가족, 연인, 이웃과 함께 애뜰광장을 찾아 도심 속 성탄의 빛이 인천을 물들이는 순간을 즐기길 바란다"고 말했다.

Incheon=Ryu Hong-geun Reporter = Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the '2025 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Citizens' Cultural Festival' with citizens on November 1 at 4:30 PM in front of the fountain at City Hall Aeteul Plaza.
This event is hosted by the Incheon Christian Council (President Pastor Jeong Il-ryang) and sponsored by Incheon City. It is planned as an open cultural festival that all citizens can enjoy together, beyond a simple religious event. It is a citizen participation festival where religious figures and general citizens gather together to spend warm time brightening the city center, concluding the year and sharing messages of hope and gratitude.
Pre-ceremony performances will feature children's dance group stages, piano quintet, and mixed choir performances. During the main event, time will be set aside to encourage churches that have led community sharing activities such as opening Christmas thanksgiving parking lots. The highlight of the event, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, will be conducted with congratulatory performances by Choa Youth Choir.
Incheon City will continue various linked events so that families, couples, friends, and neighbors can share a warm year-end atmosphere in the city center. On November 8, a choir festival with choirs from 9 churches participating will be held at Songdo Canaan Church. Additionally, from November 27 to 29, the '1st Incheon Family Film Festival' will be held at Aegwan Theater. Twelve works on the theme of family relationship recovery will be screened, and AI film special lectures will also be held. Yoon Do-young, Director of Culture and Sports Bureau, stated, "The Christmas tree lighting ceremony is a symbolic event where all citizens share hope beyond religious boundaries," adding, "We hope you will visit Aeteul Plaza with family, lovers, and neighbors to enjoy the moment when the light of Christmas colors Incheon in the city center."
