인천시의회 박창호 의원(국민의힘·비례)이 제물포고 부설 방송통신고등학교 개교 50주년 기념식에 참석해 개교50주년준비위원회(위원장 이진두)로부터 감사패를 받았다고 21일 밝혔다.
방송통신고 초대 동문회장인 박창호 의원은 "반세기 동안 배움의 끈을 놓치지 않으려는 수많은 이들의 꿈을 지켜온 제물포고 부설 방송통신고등학교의 개교 50주년을 축하한다"고 말했다.
박 의원은 "교사들의 헌신, 열악한 여건 속에서도 배우고자 애쓴 학생·졸업생의 땀과 열정이 오늘의 역사를 만들었다"며 "우리 학교가 또 다른 50년, 100년을 향해 더 많은 이들의 꿈을 밝혀주는 희망의 등불이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
박 의원은 학생 및 졸업생들에게 "건강하게 오래 지내기 위한 기본은 첫째, 늘 공부하고 배우는 일에 게으르지 않을 것, 둘째, 매사를 긍정적으로 바라볼 것, 셋째, 운동을 생활화할 것"이라며 "배움과 긍정, 그리고 꾸준한 실천이 개인의 삶을 바꾸고 지역의 힘이 된다"고 강조했다.
개교50주년준비위원회는 "초대 동문회장으로서 학교 공동체를 묵묵히 이끌고, 지역사회와의 연결 고리를 넓힌 공로가 컸다"며 감사패 수여 배경을 설명했다.
박 의원은 "인천의 평생학습 생태계를 촘촘히 만드는 데 의회 차원의 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 덧붙였다.

Incheon City Council member Park Chang-ho (People Power Party, proportional representation) announced on the 21st that he attended the 50th anniversary ceremony of Jemulpo High School's Broadcasting Correspondence High School and received a plaque of appreciation from the 50th Anniversary Preparation Committee (Chairman Lee Jin-du).
Councilor Park Chang-ho, the first alumni association president of the broadcasting correspondence high school, said, "I congratulate Jemulpo High School's Broadcasting Correspondence High School on its 50th anniversary for protecting the dreams of countless people who did not want to let go of learning for half a century."
Councilor Park stated, "The dedication of teachers and the sweat and passion of students and graduates who strived to learn despite poor conditions created today's history," and "I hope our school becomes a beacon of hope that lights up the dreams of more people toward another 50 years and 100 years."
Councilor Park emphasized to students and graduates, "The basics for staying healthy for a long time are clear: First, do not be lazy in studying and learning; second, view everything positively; third, make exercise a lifestyle," adding "Learning, positivity, and consistent practice change individual lives and become regional strength."
The 50th Anniversary Preparation Committee explained the background of the plaque presentation, saying, "As the first alumni association president, his contributions were significant in silently leading the school community and expanding connections with the local community."
Councilor Park added, "I will spare no support at the council level to create a dense lifelong learning ecosystem in Incheon."
