계양구는 1979년 토지구획정리사업 이후 주택정비 사각지대에 놓여 있던 계산동 노후 저층 주거지역(계산동 971번지 일원)의 정주환경 개선을 추진한다. 주민 편의시설(생활 복합허브) 조성, 공영주차장 조성, 광장 및 공원 리모델링, 소규모 쉼터 조성, 노후도로 포장, 기존 노후주택 집수리 사업 지원 등을 계획하고 있다. 총사업비는 299억 원(국비 148억 원, 시비 74억 원 포함) 규모다.

◆ 향후 추진 계획

계양구는 내년도 '도시재생활성화계획'을 고시할 예정이다. '경인교대입구역 지구단위계획' 변경 절차를 시작으로 2030년까지 5년간 이번 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 구 관계자는 "이번 공모 선정으로 확보한 국·시비 재원을 바탕으로 오랜 기간 불편을 감내해 온 계산동 일원에 실질적인 변화를 만들겠다"고 말했다. 그는 "더 안전하고 쾌적한 정주환경을 조성할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

The total project cost is 29.9 billion won (including 14.8 billion won in national funds and 7.4 billion won in city funds).

◆ Future Implementation Plans

Gyeyang-gu plans to announce the 'Urban Regeneration Activation Plan' next year. Starting with the procedure to change the 'Gyeongin National University of Education Station District Unit Plan,' the district plans to promote this project for five years until 2030. A district official said, "Based on the national and city funds secured through this public offering selection, we will create practical changes in the Gyesan-dong area, which has endured inconveniences for a long time." He stated, "We will do our best to create a safer and more pleasant settlement environment."
