김봉현(31기) 광주고검 검사가 수원지검장에 임명됐다.
법무부는 11일 이 같은 내용을 담은 대검검사급 인사를 15일자로 단행한다고 밝혔다.법무부가 대장동 개발 비리 사건 항소 포기 논란 이후 공석이 된 수원지검장 자리에 김봉현(사법연수원 31기) 광주고검 검사를 임명했다.
대구지검장에는 정지영 고양지청장, 부산지검장에는 김남순 부산고검 울산지부 검사, 광주지검장에는 김종우 부천지청장이 각각 승진 임명됐다.
박재억 수원지검장과 함께 집단 입장문을 발표했던 박혁수 대구지검장, 김창진 부산지검장, 박현철 광주지검장은 '한직'으로 분류되는 법무연수원 연구위원으로 발령됐다. 다만 김창진·박현철 지검장은 이날 인사 발표 직후 사의를 표명했다.
법무부는 "검찰의 정치적 중립·공정성에 대한 오해를 불러일으키고, 부적절한 표현으로 내부 구성원들을 반복적으로 비난해 조직의 명예와 신뢰를 실추시킨 대검검사급 검사를 고검검사로 발령했다"며 "검찰 조직의 기강 확립 및 분위기 쇄신을 위한 것"이라고 설명했다.

Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office Prosecutor Kim Bong-hyun Appointed Suwon Chief; Prosecutors Who Opposed Daejang-dong Appeal Waiver Reassigned to Idle Posts
Prosecutor Kim Bong-hyun (31st class) of the Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office was appointed as Chief of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.
The Ministry of Justice announced on December 11 that these senior prosecutor personnel changes would take effect on December 15. Kim was selected to succeed Park Jae-eok, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Chief who protested last month's decision to abandon the appeal in the Daejang-dong development corruption case.
Jung Ji-young, Chief of Goyang Branch, was promoted to Daegu District Prosecutors' Office Chief; Kim Nam-soon of the Busan High Prosecutors' Office Ulsan Branch to Busan District Prosecutors' Office Chief; and Kim Jong-woo, Chief of Bucheon Branch, to Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office Chief.
Park Hyuk-su, Kim Chang-jin, and Park Hyun-chul—the Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office Chiefs who issued a collective statement alongside Park Jae-eok—were reassigned to research fellow positions at the Justice Training Institute, classified as idle posts. Kim Chang-jin and Park Hyun-chul expressed their intention to resign immediately following the announcement.
The Ministry of Justice explained, "Senior prosecutors who caused misunderstanding about the prosecution's political neutrality and fairness, and repeatedly criticized internal members with inappropriate expressions, thereby damaging the organization's honor and trust, have been reassigned to high prosecutors' office positions. This is to establish discipline and reform the atmosphere within the prosecution organization."
