군포시 아동참여위원회 위원과 대학생 멘토들이 6개월간 협력하여 아동권리 동화 "사라진 불꽃"을 제작했다. 아동은 주제 선정부터 줄거리 구성, 캐릭터 설정까지 제작 전 과정에 직접 참여했다. 군포시아동보호전문기관이 주관한 이 사업은 제4기 아동참여위원회가 지역사회 문제를 고민하고 해결 방안을 제안하는 활동의 일환으로 진행되었다.

◆ 4개 불꽃으로 표현한 아동 4대 권리

동화는 아동의 4대 권리를 4개의 불꽃으로 표현했다. 주인공 연화가 사라진 불꽃(권리)을 찾아나가는 내용으로 구성되어 있다. 아동권리에 대한 이해와 실천을 아동의 시각에서 쉽고 친근하게 풀어냈다.

◆ 아동 목소리 시 정책에 반영

제4기 군포시아동참여위원회는 2024년 구성되어 2년 임기 동안 정책 제안부터 사업 참여까지 폭넓게 의견을 나누고 있다. 아동참여위원회는 활동보고회에서 완성된 동화책을 하은호 군포시장에게 전달했다. 하은호 시장은 "아동이 직접 참여해 만든 특별한 동화책이 아동의 권리를 널리 알리고 확산시키는 소중한 자원이 될 것이며, 아동의 목소리가 시 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Children directly participated in the entire production process from topic selection to plot composition and character design. The project, hosted by the Gunpo-si Child Protection Specialist Agency, was conducted as part of the 4th Children's Participation Committee's activities to address community issues and propose solutions.

◆ Four Rights Expressed as Four Sparks

The fairy tale expressed children's four rights as four sparks. The story follows protagonist Yeonhwa searching for the lost sparks (rights). The fairy tale presented understanding and practice of children's rights in an easy and familiar manner from children's perspectives.

◆ Children's Voices Reflected in City Policy

The 4th Gunpo-si Children's Participation Committee, established in 2024, shares diverse opinions ranging from policy proposals to project participation during its two-year term. The committee presented the completed fairy tale book to Mayor Ha Eun-ho during an activity report meeting. Mayor Ha stated, "The special fairy tale created by children will become a valuable resource for raising awareness and spreading children's rights. The city will continue to support efforts to ensure children's voices are reflected in city policy."
